Hoy con esta interesante iniciativa propuesta por la amiga @nathyortiz, donde nos pide que hablemos de un libro diferente durante 7 días, esta vez pertenece a un libro que tengas y no hayas leído. Como me gusta leer, voy a las librerías para ver qué libros hay disponibles, y si alguno me llama la atención, lo compro. También busco libros que me recomiendan mis amigos, y si encuentro uno que es barato o de un autor que me gusta leer, lo compro y lo guardo hasta que tengo tiempo de leerlo.

Today with this interesting initiative proposed by friend @nathyortiz, where she asks us to talk about a different book for 7 days, this time it pertains to a book you have and haven't read. Since I like to read, I go to bookstores to see what books are available, and if one catches my attention, I buy it. I also look for books that my friends recommend, and if I find one that is cheap or by an author I like to read, I buy it and keep it until I have time to read it.

En esta ocasión les hablaré de "De Amor y de Sombra", de Isabel Allende, la misma que escribió Paula y el diario de Ana Frank. Es una autora talentosa que me gusta mucho, pero este libro no despierta mi interés. No sé por qué no lo terminé, pero espero hacerlo algún día.

This time I will talk about "De Amor y de Sombra", by Isabel Allende, the same author who wrote Paula and the diary of Anne Frank. She is a talented author that I like very much, but this book does not arouse my interest. I don't know why I didn't finish it, but I hope to someday.

Este libro no sé muy bien de como se desarrolla, como ya he dicho, sólo he leído las primeras páginas, pero por la reseña y de los pocos fragmentos que he leído, parece contar la historia de Irene, una periodista fascinante y sensible, y de Francisco, un psicólogo que, desafiando a la dictadura, decide trabajar como fotógrafo. Se conocen cuando ambos deben hacer una entrevista a una familia que afirma que la hija menor era una chica con habilidades sobrenaturales que hacía milagros. Esta historia nos permite ser testigos de los difíciles acontecimientos de la vida en el Chile de principios de los años ochenta.

This book I don't know very well how it develops, as I said, I have only read the first few pages, but from the review and from the few fragments I have read, it seems to tell the story of Irene, a fascinating and sensitive journalist, and Francisco, a psychologist who, defying the dictatorship, decides to work as a photographer. They meet when they both have to do an interview with a family that claims that the youngest daughter was a girl with supernatural abilities who performed miracles. This story allows us to witness the difficult events of life in Chile in the early 1980s.

Al igual que sus otras obras, ¡este es un libro fantástico!. Es una historia real, tan triste como la dictadura en Chile. No sólo es una notable historia de amor, sino también una ardiente y apasionada defensa de la dignidad humana y de la libertad, en la que el autor describe cómo se vivió esa situación, con todo el terror y anhelos de quienes tuvieron que huir del país.

Like his other works, this is a fantastic book! It is a true story, as sad as the dictatorship in Chile. It is not only a remarkable love story, but also an ardent and passionate defense of human dignity and freedom, in which the author describes how he lived through that situation, with all the horrors and longings of those who had to flee the country.
