I have a great time today when I decided to take a travel here in Barangay Punta Silum Manticao Misamis Oriental. As I do my Nature travel, I have seen many fascinating place and plants in this particular place and all of it are make me more amazed. Some of the place here in Manticao, have already dried up due to extremely heat comes from the sun. But I noticed this plant grows in the midst of a dry place. This area is not completely covered with soil, instead many stones are located here in this place. This plant is the only color green in the place and the rest was already color brown.

This pretty little white flower is also grows in the wilderness. This is a kind of wildflowers but it is still very attractive because of its bright white colors. It is also a kind of vine plants, means it can crawl from place to place and begin to propegate more. Other people loves to plant this in their yard, fences and even house walls just for decorations.

I was very surprised when I found out the stories behind of this old road here in our Province. The first time I pass in here, I don't any noticed that this roads is already concreted. As I observed the road, I thought its was only a rocky road but as the elders said, this was already concreted with the used of asphalt way back 60 years ago. But as the years has passed, the road was completely covered with soil. There are also many stones in the middle of the road and it was completely make the changes of the place.

This place is very abundant of any valuable crops just like this banana. The owner of this place usually sell this to the Public Market and the cost is 25 Pesos per kilo. This is one of primary source of income to all residents here and some people make this banana a snack and sell near at the School, Market places and even house-to-house selling. It is very lucky for them here that even there is a strong wind that hit sometimes here in this place because of the bad weather, still the banana plants bare its fruit and it is very healthy. This banana plantation is located at near seashore facing to Panguil bay..

I also spotted this Papaya fruit and it grows near at the seashore. It bares more fruits and some of it are already ripes. I was very amazed of what I seen. The first came to my mind is the plants will not grow in the seashore because it is very salty but I was wrong. As I observed the plants grows very healthy and the owner of this area were very lucky to have this kind of valuable crops and plants.

One of the most valuable crops here in our Province is the coconut. People loves to plant more coconuts so it will help them in their Family needs. Most of the coconut owners made this as copra before selling it to the big company but others sell this in pieces. Each pieces of coconuts can cost up to 8 Pesos each while the copra will cost 35 Pesos per kilo. Buko is also popular fruit here in the Province and many people loves to eat buko and drink buko juice. In the crowded areas just like cities, they sell buko with the prize of 45 pesos Each. The Native wine or "tuba" in local term comes from the coconut fruit also that is why, coconuts have many uses.

If we are talking about herbal medicine, this plant is very perfect for medicinal use. We called this plant, "Hagonoy" the leaves of this plants is antimicrobial and it is use for cleaning the wounds. Just boiled this leaves for 20 minutes and the boiling water will use by cleaning the wounds. This was already traditional because native people always used this as their first aid medicine. Well this is not applicable to all kinds of major illness.

By traveling to the beautiful and relaxing place is very fun. It can relieve our stress and have a peaceful mind by inhaling the freshness of the air brought by the Mother Nature.
