🐟ANGEIRAS, from fishing to our table 🐠

On my little trip, I found a small fishing village about 8 KM from the city of Porto.
Angeiras is characterized by a mixture between land and sea, as in addition to a vast experience in fishing, they are also very productive in horticultural and livestock products.

The weather was not ideal for those going to the sea, the strong agitation and the weather was not the most promising, there weren't many people in the village either, which makes everything a mystical and welcoming environment, despite the weather being gray it wasn't cold and it wasn't raining at the time, which was quite conducive to taking some pictures and leaving the photographic record for you

Along the way, it becomes clear that it is a fishing village and the mess on the beach sand becomes welcoming from the space. In his activity, not everything is “beautiful” and sometimes the hustle and bustle of the day is not enough to keep the place tidy.
In other words, it's tidying up after a day's work, but as a whole it turns out to have its charm.

Along the way, we can see the typical fishermen's houses called "boat houses" in which they live in community. It should be noted that the color of the small village just a few meters from the beach makes everything very welcoming.

During the day they have a kind of tent made of awnings and plastics where the women work "from sewing nets to repairing traps" when their husbands rest for another hard day's work, depending on the weather conditions.

All this work has recently given rise to a great work, finally Angeiras took what many fishermen asked for.
A small bar where boats could face the sea more quickly without having to surf along the coast, this intervention cost the Portuguese State around 4 million euros.
This brought more security in all arrivals and departures from the sea, in addition to becoming a beautiful beach for children, since there are no waves.

There is also nearby the shipwreck rescue institute with boats capable of facing the worst storms, to save possible shipwrecks off the coast of Matosinhos.
In this "house" they have a flying boat and various rescue equipment.

The boats in this village are all artisanal fishing so they don't travel many miles apart, they are 4 to 10 meters long and take about 4 people per boat, one of which is called "master", usually the owner of the boat.
