Labruge S. Paio geological fault

Today I set out to discover a small geological fault very close to me located in Labruge, a small village in the Vila do Conde area where it is known for its fault and an iron age fort.
It is also known for huge waves on rough sea days.

First of all I leave here a brief explanation of what a geological fault is:

A geological fault is a crack in the earth's crust that occurs when rock blocks move differently. This cracking is caused by forces pushing and pulling on the tectonic plates that make up the Earth's crust. Geological faults are common in areas where earthquakes occur and can cause tremors when rocks move abruptly. They can also be part of the formation of mountains and sedimentary basins. Geologists study fault lines to better understand how the Earth works and predict earthquake hazards.
In this specific case, it gave rise to a beautiful small beach supported by 2 large rocks on the right and left.

This image in this case really corresponds to the geological fault I'm talking about

Beach season is not yet, I understand, the days are hot and there are already some adventurers sunbathing, today in question the day was a little cold and with some fog, ideal for a walk along the seafront along the walkways.
The place always draws a lot of attention, especially on days when the sea is rough, the strong waves caused by the fault invade the entire beach and, in addition, it has become a tourist attraction for both curious people and photographers who spend endless hours there these days. search for the "perfect wave" and click

I park the car about a kilometer away and head down the path, very close there is a snack bar restaurant right above the most protected rock, which anyone passing by can become a moment well spent with a beer and some lupine trees enjoying the view, in my case I went as an amateur photographer and at the same time as a curious person, as it was the first time I had been in the exact spot on such a special day, days of rough seas.
On top of that, on a day that with just a coat you looked great without needing too heavy clothes as usual, I took my drone and the canon 2000D.

I start to go down the stairs towards the beach and I already see several people coming into view

arrived at the right time for the so-called golden hour, when the photos were much more yellowish and I preferred not to edit them, because for me they are beautiful like that

I look ahead and to the north I already see someone with a tripod taking pictures of the waves breaking over the sand

Sat there and waited a few minutes before starting to take the camera out of my backpack and started previewing the surf zone where I believed I could take the best pictures to show you

I really felt that good vibe and best of all is that the surf was so strong that it released those water droplets that hit my face and tasted like salt, I found the place magical, not only me but apparently all the people who were watching that late afternoon scenery.
No one was indifferent, even those who passed by just to do sport or families who had as their destination a walk along the wall of neighboring beaches.

notice the detail of the break of this wave it releases the water if submerged in the sun, the wind pushed these droplets in my direction.

After several attempts I find my perfect wave to take a kind of sequence where in the same place it is perceptible to see the wave hitting a rock and falling apart in a cascade over it.

On this walk of mine and in the late afternoon, my favorite photos were these, I hope you enjoy this little walk and I invite everyone to visit this place that for me, in addition to marking me, I consider a small paradise right next to the City of Porto in Portugal.

Thanks for reading, I hope I managed to bring you a little closer to this mysterious and beautiful scenario about my trip to this place

All photos were taken with canon 2000D, thank you very much for reading
