Padrão agriculture village 🚜

Quick visit to the terraces of Padrão, I felt as if I had entered my childhood and at the same time in a unique place where technology had not yet entered.
A village with few inhabitants and quite abandoned, where children could still play freely in the streets without passing cars, if this were not a village with only one entrance and only one exit in which the dead end warning already appeared at the entrance.

I felt in a kind of abandoned village with very winding and tight roads where only a small tractor or even a quad bike can pass, it was something that really intrigued me, almost everyone in that village had a quad bike, as obviously they should help a lot in life in the countryside, especially when the animals roam freely up the mountains

The village is so small that I'm pretty sure it has less than 40 people, but one thing is for sure, there are many dogs that roam freely through the village without any padlock or imposition, as a rule they are tame animals but they cause some fear because they are large and when they felt my presence they immediately signaled that it was strange, after a short time the farmer was already observing what I I was doing, curious as I am, I continued and identified myself easily with the camera in my hand.

Can you believe that this dog accompanied me from the beginning of the village until my departure, he seemed like my dedicated guide, I confess that at first I felt a little afraid because he barked very close to me and his imposing structure

One thing I haven't seen for a long time most of the road have vines in the air, I think in summer it must be incredibly cool in addition to the good grapes it must produce.

The village itself had the natural appearance of the typical houses in the north of Portugal, all in stone and still without traces of those typical “emigrants who take the landscape architecture from these true perks”
They still have the old-fashioned incense, which brings back amazing memories of when I was little.
In fact, I believe many of you will feel the same way, it's as familiar as "your grandparents' house"
Where everything was perfect the old fashioned way

The village was at the top of the mountain and the terraces, it's a breathtaking view, but the best thing is to show you :)

The few inhabitants that exist there survive only from agriculture. The main source of income is planting corn and beans.
There are many granaries, many already degraded, it's as if people had given up living there in search of a better life. The village has not been updated and the few inhabitants live just long enough to get by.

Time has not passed here, the only church that existed was already a little weakened too and most of the corncob guards were in the same way, I felt that I went back years in time and here very close to me about 2 hours from Porto .

Portugal always manages to surprise us, despite being small, it has so much to see and experience.

It is these experiences that make me leave the house every day and go to work, it is something unique that cannot be explained, already back on the main road where I was going to take my car and return around 6 pm I found the animals that came from the mountains coming home.
a cow (cachena) "name of the breed produced in that place" was formerly called a humble cow, and it is possible to understand why this designation is the same as that of the population of that place

I like how peaceful the village is and how they preserve their house architectural design up to this time. Houses built in stone is awesome.☺️

Tha place looks so old and the people living there has a lot of things to offer for everyone. It's quite interesting that most people in the village are having tractors. Thanks for sharing this 😊

How nice that you were able to walk the streets of your hometown.

It's a pity that now there is less population but there are also charming places where there are only the usual locals, with their customs and traditions.

Surely now it is a very quiet place.

I really want to go to Portugal, I would like to know more places like this.

Thanks for sharing

Through your photos, I can see the peaceful and rustic beauty of this place. The walls and path are still covered with a lot of moss.
