The Tropical Garden Lake

In the heart of the Atlantic Ocean lies one of the most beautiful islands in Portugal.
Madeira is a true paradise for Europeans.
The Portuguese had never understood why it is one of the English's favorite destinations to visit, right after the Algarve.
Well, I didn't understand until the plane landed.

Madeira is a true gift of nature right in the middle of the ocean, volcanic by creation and with an incredible diversity of plants, and a curiosity, very different from other tropical places.
The Madeira does not contain any species of snake, which seems strange to me since it is tropical and its temperatures are quite appealing to this type of animal.

After a journey of almost 2 hours from Porto, in Portugal and already comfortable with the island, I went to the tropical garden, nothing less than a garden with 80 thousand square meters of otoctuna plants from the Laurissilva forest.
One of the most beautiful in the world and a UNESCO heritage site, very close by.
Sunny day but mild temperature, ideal for hiking. I walked among the lush and tall trees, which in addition to being cooler, attract the attention of those passing along the trails.

While walking through tall, lush trees, one of the attractions that caught my attention was a peaceful lake, adorned with red, yellow and white fish, surrounded by stunning tropical vegetation.

From small water dams accumulated in small lakes surrounded by vast vegetation and small well-kept walking trails, it is possible to observe nature and its biodiversity in its splendor, about its generous climate, for the time of year in question, as it is still winter.
There was a mixture of different plant smells and a lot of color, contrasting with the green, but still harmonious.
They have flowers of all sizes and shapes.

One of the things that caught my attention the most was in fact this lake with a bridge and just a huge number of schools of fish of different colors in this calm environment, red, white,yellow among others...
always surrounded by very dense vegetation.
Interesting corner in this beautiful garden to breathe some fresh air and enjoy some rest in harmony with nature.

When observing the fish swimming, I realized that he had an idea with a type of fish, called koi carp, a Japanese species known for its beauty and added symbolism, according to a brief reading they represent preservation, success and strength that harmonize perfectly with that immersive environment. and harmonious views of the tranquil tropical garden lake.
Furthermore, they are showy fish due to their size.
