WWE SmackDown Showdown: Cody Rhodes, Carmelo Hayes, and AJ Styles Set the Stage for Backlash.

On WWE SmackDown last night, Cody Rhodes and Carmelo Hayes had a big showdown. It was very thrilling! Just recently called up to SmackDown from NXT, Hayes certainly did not fail in making a name for himself. They held an outstanding match with many great moves, although it was not for the title.
AJ Styles appeared after Rhodes’ victory. He is the next challenger stalking the champ’s belt. That was slightly tense but they eventually shook hands and that showed respect. Wrestlers doing stuff like this is awesome to me.
Rhodes and Styles had a contract signing before all of this took place. Rhodes said that he really needs to win this match; doesn’t that make sense? Being his first championship reign as well as wanting to prove himself
Styles won his opportunity by defeating LA Knight the previous week. He is now the Number One Contender and I suppose that he has been on a winning streak.
Their huge match is taking place at Backlash on May 4th, in Lyon, France. It’s gonna be sick! I'm definitely tuning in.
I think this entire storyline is getting really good. Hayes coming in and challenging Rhodes, Styles stepping up for his shot—it’s all leading to a really exciting match. Can't wait to see what happens next!
