Have you been punkd? Showing off my Hive Punks!

Hive is great, free transactions!

NFTs have been a great interest of mine lately. Although I have to admit that I usually miss out on most projects simply because I don't have enough Ethereum to cover the gas fees that are usually so high. The moment it was announced by @themarkymark that he was launching Punks on Hive, I was keen on grabbing some punks after launch. The OG punks were very high in value, you see, and other like-wise projects with punks have been launched without me finding out in time OR whenever I didn't have any funds for them. Thankfully, in this case, I only needed some liquid $HIVE to cover for the minting of punks. The price of 20 HIVE seems like a steal compared to all these expensive projects out there.

No brainer to mint Hive Punks!

I was very pleased that on top of the liquid hive in my hive engine account, I also had some USDT saved up that I could use to buy a bag of hive. Thankfully, hive had dropped in value since I had sold the Hive for USDT, so in the end, I got to mint more punks from this bag of savings. I first minted 7 of them, which never appeared until that night when I was already sleeping. So the 20 I minted not long after and the first 7 appeared all at once when I woke up last night and couldn't wait to check my punks. These are the rarest I've minted so far:

Almost identical Punks

The funny thing was when I noticed that I have almost two identical punks in the collection:

I almost missed the one pixel in the beard of Felix Scott and thought the system had accidentally printed two of the same punks. But they are probably just twin brothers ;) I put one in the market in case you're feeling Seth Burke is your perfect profile pic, I will keep Felix for now..

Today I've been watching the punks site a lot

And as I already expected yesterday, I think they will be sold out soon, actually very soon! Today I decided to jump through some hoops, after all, to make sure I would have a few more shots at a rare punks, as currently, only one is quite rare. I'd like to find a zombie as well as an ape. But also a cool chick that I can resonate with would be very welcome in this manly collection so far.

What happens when they are sold out?

I'm wondering if the floor will rise a lot, or that people will hold on to them while waiting to see what @themarkymark @blockheadgames as in store for the holders.. We will just have to wait and see. I can't wait until my last punks are minted and appear int he gallery!
