Homemade salad is a current favorite in our home

Especially for a quick lunch to still the hunger or whenever we aren't really in the cooking mindset, I add some ingredients together and have a nice salad. The ingredients depend on what's available but at the very least it needs baby spinach (we pick that over most lettuce), cucumber, paprika (color depends on availability, haha), grated cheese, olive oil and preferably tuna and avocado.
Usually I make sure to have all these ingredients available so that I always have this back-up dish for the need for quick food.

We had some steak leftovers

I was a bit done with all the steak and already stopped eating it, while my boyfriend seems to do well on a lot of meat and could probably pull off the carnivore diet. I personally can't because of a health issue in my stomach after a failed surgery, too much meat will cause issues there, one of the reasons that I go easy on the meat most of the times. The pain that appears when I had too much can last for days and the feeling is not forgotten easily. I do love a good steak though, I really do! But with the emphasis on GOOD, as soon as I have a few too many shitty bites, I'm done and my steak cravings are over for a while. Great way to keep the budget in check, lol.

I prepped the salad

While my daughter and I had something else for dinner. My boyfriend suddenly had the idea to add steak to the mix. He was lucky because it was a good piece of steak and apparently the combo was great. Here are the ingredients:

  • baby spinach
  • red paprika
  • cucumber
  • white tuna
  • avocado
  • grated cheese
  • steak (I don't remember which sort exactly, sorry)
  • olive oil
  • pepper & salt

Enjoy!
