Hunting for the full moon - Succeeded!
While the sunset hunting failed
Funny story, I forgot to write that part, even though it was quite clear that my hunt didn't result in more than 1 sight with orange turning sky behind a lot of buildings and mountains, I did not specifically mention that the hunt was a constant failure during that stay. Too bad, I was really hoping to capture a sunset at sea, but the sun sets on the other side, inland. What to do about it? Not much.
Full moon in June
The full moon in June was one I was looking forward to as that was the first full moon back in Spain as well as a special strawberry moon but first of all, it was daytime and during the evening the sky was completely filled with sand or whatever that was. The internet didn't work properly either these days and with that, I missed my opportunity to complete the series of photos I took from the days up to the actual full moon.
July's supermoon
When I read the time of the full moon in July was in the evening, I hoped that the sky would be clear enough to capture it. I accidentally booked an appointment with our Spanish accountant and felt like an idiot as this moon was something I'd love to capture. The appointment got postponed until the next day and with that, I had my chance to capture the moon after all. I was afraid that I'd fail because of the light pollution thanks to the fun fair that started that evening (we had no clue that they were having a fun fair until we bumped into it by accident).
One picture
Although the moon looked more orange than in my picture, I have not edited it in any way because this is the best way I could capture it with my phone and I'm still happy with the result as usually most pictures end up being blurry because I can't keep it 100% still haha. I love taking pictures of the moon not only because I can get mesmerized by the looks of the moon, but also because of the fact that it has a huge impact on all three of our moods every single month. It is very rare that we are all happy, chill, and calm around the full moon. Now that I think about it, only last time this was the case, probably because we were so happy and grateful to be in Spain and nothing was able to break our spirit anyway so little annoyances that normally make us fire off around the full moon phase were suddenly "no biggies" anymore.
Full moon moods
Do you love the moon as much as I do? Do you capture it when you notice the full moon, and do you notice changes in human behavior in general around the full moon? Here, usually, when the moon is at its fullest, moods start to get back to normal within the next day max. It never lasts after the full moon. It's almost as if I can just process things better when the moon is at its return and that I'm too on edge the few days until the moon is actually full.

Thanks @thisismylife. The May and June full moons I hosted ceremonies at the Mayan ruins in Playa Del Carmen. This July one we were actually flying, so when we arrived I was exhausted and missed it. uff!
But ready for August!

I hope next month, I can see the moon again as it's a bummer when we can't but the sky has been overall cluttered not even with clouds so it seems but some sort of sandy mist it looks like. I remember from years ago here in Spain it was sand from the dessert that landed here, but it has been like this (some days much worse than others) since we arrived. We even had a horrible internet connection for the days that the sky was the worst..

I remember before we moved to Budapest, and lived in Spain, I was looking at the moon every night until we moved and in Budapest there was so much light pollution that we often could not even spot it in the sky, so I'm glad we can now see it clearly whenever the clouds allow us haha.

I have never thought about it. Is there any such thing? Did it ever happen to me? Not sure. Or, is it just happens to the ladies? :O
AnYway, it is a nice moon photographs. My moon photography always turns to be a blurry one.

No it happens to all people and not just ladies! I know that from personal experience. But some are more sensitive to it, and it also depends (a lot) on which full moon of the year, these two in June and July for example, have more impact than others, I can even still remember from 6 years ago in Spain (before we left to Budapest) how it affected me these months.
Most of my pictures are blurry too they seem nice on the phone, but then I check on the laptop and discover they aren't clear :( Glad I have at least one of the actual full moon. Now I need a better camera to have them all clear haha. But that will take some time :)

To be honest, as I have mentioned above, I don't feel any effects during the full moon! Weird.

It's not weird, many don't notice or it's very tiny, it can be as little as feeling more on edge than other days. If you dig into statistics I believe that during a full moon, there are WAY more accidents in traffic so you can even find the info in those stats. But you'd have to google it yourself if interested :) But if you aren't noticing anything, why even bother lol, I usually only look up full moon dates when I notice it again in our natural behavior but I also know both my daughter and me are very sensitive to many things to many impulses are also affecting our mood even if we don't want that or try to be aware, it just happens.

I think this full moon had some weird effects on me, can't describe it exactly, we'll see how this week goes and analyze then.

It's not always the same (speaking from personal experiences) for example, the supermoons have a bigger effect on our mood (here in the house that is lol) and I can even remember HOW bad that was 6 years ago in Spain, I can't describe it I just know it's a fact. Been taking notes for 7 years now observing our family and often I don't even realize the full moon is coming until 4 days upfront someone starts to have their hissy fits again and I check the month's calendar to find out the full moon is almost there lol.

I don't have mood swing ... Or maybe you must talk to my hubby 🤣 But everytime I have sleeping problems when it's full moon. It starts 2 days before and last till 1 day after full moon. Apparently more women have this. Maybe we're more sensitive?
Lucky you (the moodswings lol) but the sleeping is defo also connected and visible here in the household. Not every month but this month it was 100% the case.
My boyfriend has it as well btw, not only the ladies but it could be that we are more sensitive to this in general..
Luckily full moon is passed by now ... Another 4 weeks of good sleep ahead!

In my younger years, we would hunt for raccoons on a full moon in the winter. It was amazing how well-lit the woods were with the full moon against the snow-covered ground. It was awesome.
As far as mood goes, I know there is a difference in human behavior during a full moon. Working in the Emergency Department for almost 25 years proved this to be true.

Haha, yeah there is NO doubt about that for me. If someone has never paid attention (I mean, until some 5-6 years ago maybe, I didn't either) that's ok, but I did since, and there is no doubt that this changes behavior. Not every month is the same, some are "worse" than others, but that it affects us (some more than others) is without any doubt to me.
Not only the case with women lol, my boyfriend as well, haha.
