Luna Lucky Shots

Lucky shots

Usually, when I notice a cat (or two) in a very cute position that I want to capture, the creature opens her eyes and keeps following me instead of staying put for just 20 seconds. It can be highly annoying, especially when they are finally laying in the perfect light for my phone to capture the picture. Luna is definitely hard to capture because she usually runs to me when I notice her, I have to be careful not to accidentally step on her when walking out of a room.

Yawn!

I took these three pictures in the holiday I think, I didn't even notice they were good until I moved them to the computer and saw them in a bigger size than my phone. On the phone things often look ok or good but then when you check them on a big screen, they suck so I rarely assume there's a great one in there until I bump on it while sorting pictures. I had to laugh when I opened this one, what a timing!

That tongue!

I know they aren't super sharp but they are good enough for me, I was checking that tongue and while seeing that picture, I can just hear and feel the sound it makes when she licks something, lol. For example when I'm on the bathroom, they both run with me to sit on the sink and wait for me to open the water for them. For some reason they prefer playing with that water over just going to their bowl. I often hear their tongues scratch the tap, oh the horror!

When I don't open the tap

They come to purr and make the sweetest sounds in my ear while gently tapping on my shoulder. I swear they are a bunch of charmers when they want something. It has been a huge issue to not comply to their wishes since the evening before New Years Eve because we had a huge water issue here in our region. The water was contaminated with radioactive stuff, I don't know the ins and outs exactly but we could not drink it or cook with it.

Contaminated water

It was in the morning when I realized I had them drinking water from the tap all night when I was asleep. I can only hope nothing happened. We weren't off that bad though, some people only heard about it today when the incident was resolved, that's how good the town hall has been spreading the news. You could say that they gave us poisoned water, unless there was someone looking after you to bring the message because they only wrote it on Facebook! Imagine that! Thanks to my friend who passed on the message instantly, I read it before my eyes closed.

Until today nobody knows how bad it was and if we have to look out for certain health issues, none was communicated, they rather not respond or just move on without informing the residents. Great stuff, it doesn't even surprise me anymore today.

Luna was not amused by the water incident, she isn't allowed to drink from the tap because I don't trust it fully yet.

Lol what a sweet cat. I'd never thought there would be disadvantages of having a sweet clingy cat. Most cats don't care that's why you can take pics of them with no problem 😭
Oh no, that's really some bad news. Here as well they only announce shit on Facebook... which is so stupid lol that's why I still have my Facebook despite wanting to delete it. If I don't have it then how else am I supposed to get updates.

I also don't know how radioactive stuff contaminates. Isn't that really a BIG BIG problem? Like I've heard some things are still radioactive after decades... so I hope they fully resolved whatever it is that happened there :(

She is very sweet, don't get me wrong, she has the most adorable look when you pet her, it was that exact look that won me over the first second as it surely weren't her looks as a kitten, lol. She was malnourished and still trying to catch up on the rest of the litter. She is just a fatty now though.

I ditched FB years ago, but as the kindergarten back then in Budapest had a FB communication group only, I had to open an account again, luckily for me it meant I could translate it easily too :)

Here in Spain, I only used it for the foster kittens first but now also to check town hall communications, which seems to be the only way now. It's really bad that they just don't make an effort. I really hope it's nothing serious as I read about a few pregnant people and kids drinking from it as they didn't know, nobody told them in these days either.

Honestly, for now I will just let it go as nothing happened so far and my friend is one of these people that files formal complaints regularly as she stands up for the minorities and I know I will hear from her if it turned out really bad. We will take it from there if so.

No point in getting scared while we feel fine, but it would be good to know what signs we have to look out for in case it was quite bad, sure.

We have been on normal water for a few days now but this lack of communication made me stop using the water for coffee and cooking, the trust is not there now as you can imagine. Back to showering and brushing teeth only.

Have a good weekend!

I am sorry to hear about your water problem. Things were even worse over here, they were times we just don't have running water for a day or two without any explanation.

Luna looks so cute, especially when she yawns. Although I am not really a cat person. !LOLZ

The moon photos are a beauty. Good thing you managed to capture it well because as you say photographing them is quite an adventure.
As for the water and your radioactive contamination problems I hope it's nothing bad, although it's a pity you were not officially informed about this incident.
Thanks for sharing.

A little radiation? Not important to let anyone know... It's only a cancer risk....

Wonderful government run utilities....

What a cute cat! She apparently loves attention.

Move along now, nothing to see here.. pff that's exactly what they tried to do. It's really annoying but for now, all seems ok. Fingers crossed there's no long term stuff happening because of it. My friend files a formal complaint so if it was REALLY bad, I will hear about it from her.

Thank you, she's a doll :) !PIMP

Hopefully nothing serious develops from the water issue and cute ca(p)tures!

I hope so too, I think we didn't consume anything dangerous BUT with this lack of information and guidance from their end, I can totally see how the water would have been contaminated all day with them trying to fix it and then deciding just before midnight to tell people about it through FB. So yeah, we can't know for sure. Fingers crossed.
