Update overdue

It's been a while since I updated about Mojo's Life. No update doesn't Mean that there was no news. It’s simply because I had to take a little break from my screen due to my hand issues and therefore some of my content has been postponed.

In the last weeks Mojo has become a true friend, especially for me so it seems. Two days ago, when I was bound to bed most of the day, she came into the bedroom and jumped on the bed for the first time. I had a very hard time laying still because I could not sleep because of my headache. She stayed by my side, gladly accepting the cuddles and stayed with me throughout the whole day.

Mojo's favorite toy

My boyfriend bought a few laser pointers a while ago and they arrived a few weeks ago. One of them is so bright, it's not a good idea to use it inside, so he only uses the red one and Mojo loves chasing it. It gives her some good exercise.

Free toy

Toys don't always need to cost money though, sometimes a toy can be simple! Remember the paper balls she enjoyed when she just started to play here? Well, we found something new. When we were eating pistachio nuts, she jumped on the couch as she heard the sound of the peels and apparently liked it. She tried to grab one from the glass bowl. Instead, we threw a still closed one (without a nut) and she started chasing it. It was super fun to watch, but even more fun when she constantly brought back the pistachio peel in her mouth, and threw it on the couch for us to throw it again. It was very adorable to see.

Siblings

We went to check on her siblings last week and I noticed that they grew a lot in these few months, but still are super fluff balls compared to when we took home Mojo. At the time she was nothing like the fluffy kittens I see over there and therefore we suspect she is a bit older than we thought she'd be. Therefore, we will now make an appointment at the vet as soon as we manage to do so to sterilize her. That is if the vet agrees on her being the right age, of course. It's probably still a gamble, even for the vet, but we have to start somewhere to check it.

No more parasites

Thankfully, she's now free from parasites as well. Unfortunately, she needed a second treatment for the worms, but the fleas were gone in one round. She's clearly happier now and finally has normal poop :) which is great because this little girl was smelly! :)

That's it for today's update, Mojo is doing great and I'm excited to share more of the stories soon..

Great name!

Seems like a calm kitten, not trouble maker. Hopefully she will start to grow faster now, parasites are buggers and painful.

I'm missing having a cat.

Though not a real kitting :)
We don't know how old she was but we took her of the streets a few months ago. Looking at the siblings that are still there (they were very small at the time) they are now not even close to her size and very fluffy fur as well. I think our Mojo may be closer to 6-12 months instead of just a few months when we took her home.

But we'll find out what the vet says when we have the appointment. It's still a guess..

She's very cute and super friendly, glad we rescued her.

I can imagine the missing, we were without a cat for 4,5 years as we weren't allowed in our previous home and I really missed it badly!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Your cat plays fetch! That is awesome! Laser pointers do make cats crazy, but you have to ensure they are the lowest powered version. it can damage their eyes. I can recommend - ping pong balls, and objects with tassels and bells on the end of a cord attached to a pole/stick makes mine go crazy, video coming!

Yeah she does! I know about the laser pointers, that's exactly why the green one won't be used, and I will not even use the red one myself I'm afraid to accidentally shine in the eyes ;) So that's the boyfriend's game with Mojo :)

The first thing that made Mojo come out to play was a stick with feathers, when she started to gain interest, within a few days, she was making love to it :) I wrote about that a few months ago. It was adorable..

I will check for a video later!

So lovely to see her :) yah it’s so fun to play with lasers and cats ~;p but it’s true that they can feel enjoyment with the most random things. I love when we look for my friends cat and he is inside a paper bag :P he loves it!

Haha, Mojo is the same. The first thing she played with was a little piece of paper folded into a ball. She still loves that btw, she's happy with any attention or thing she can chase in the house. Easy to please and so much love to receive <3
