Day 10 - Mochi

30 pictures - 30 stories divider set - Introduction.png

I got inspired by the "30 day not-so ordinary ordinary items challenge" but as I love giving things a personal twist, I decided to change the format a bit for myself so it suits me better. I've adjusted it to the 30 pictures - 30 stories challenge. But some days you will see that I also use not-so ordinary ordinary objects.

Feel free to join the challenge at any time if you like.

Publish one picture a day during 30 days and write a story about that picture. This can be anything, any object in the home, a person, scenery or a pet. I'm going to share a diversity of pictures and challenge myself to step outside of the box.

Today I want to share this picture with you because it was one of these rare moments where Mochi let me take endless pictures of him, sometimes even looking at me directly with the right light coming in from outside. It's at the end of the afternoon when he sits on his scratching post in front of the window and checks the birds and people outside.

Downstairs we have a football stadium and it's almost as if there's a football match going on 7 days a week every evening until quite late sometimes. We hear the kids and parents cheer whenever they made a goal and it seems to be a hot spot here in our little town. This is great for Mochi as it always gives him something to look at from the window.

I was trying to figure out how to get better pictures with my Huawei P30 Pro because it was such a gem when I just had it, every picture was amazing, I think because of AI Helping out a bit.. And then more and more pictures were off because of bad lightning inside mostly and it seems as if AI decided that this was going to be the norm at some point. The pro settings of the camera absolutely SUCK nowadays, and I get dark shaded pictures only. I used to take the best ones with the pro settings. Oh well, checking other ways now and this picture is one of the pics I loved.

I know it's not perfect but I love how he sits there, all chill, his nice fur visible as soft as it truly is and his amazingly beautiful blue eyes. He's such a charming little cat, haha. I hope that one day, I can capture him exactly the way he looks and winks at us whenever he's politely trying to ask for food when we are eating. Nothing rude like some dogs can do sometimes, no, he does it with class, haha.

This picture made me think about trying to draw him when I feel like it again. I'm currently caught up creating content ahead so I will need another week or so before I will give drawing a try again but the picture is calling me to do so. I think it will be a tough one though with his fur, but we'll see. Of course I will share the drawing if I get to that.

See you tomorrow!

Aw what a sweetie, I really miss our dear old ginger cat. She came to us on her own so I feel like I'll have a cat again when one decides to find us haha. Great photo and darling cat and good luck with the challenge @thisismylife

Thanks, he is very cute but still not used to use fully. I can pet him but sometimes he is spooked easily so still have to be careful when approaching him. Although he let me clean his eyes when there's a bit of the litterbox stuff inside his eye etc so that's a good sign he's just a slow guy :) haha

I can imagine you miss her, I truly miss Mojo every day too, we rescued her first from the same spot a few months before we took in Mochi, but then she got in heat and escaped. She was very affectionate and because she was my cuddle buddy, it's now taking way too long with Mochi to come closer to us, lol.

Although he's also jumping on the couch with us more often, just not next to us like she did. I hope one day he will fully accept us :) lol
