Goodbyes are near

We all feel at day 16 that we possibly just have 2 more days left until they leave, maybe even less or maybe longer if things don't go according to plan. I have to admit, I cried a few times while enjoying an intense cuddle session with one of the kittens, at this time, I have a few favorites and when I cry and Garbanzo looks at me wondering why water comes from my eyes, she gently holds my head with her two paws (no nails) and wants to lick my face. I won't let her do it, although the gesture is sweet. With the parasite adventure, I know I need to be careful with that. Of course, she was allowed to cuddle me without the licking part, she's such a sweetheart.

As many cuddles and precious moments as possible

I know soon we will have to say our possibly forever goodbyes. I know that the new families will send some pictures and videos for a while, but eventually, it will probably fade. Which is a shame but life. We knew what we signed up for and we also knew they were already adopted before they arrived here. I got to know the new families a bit in our group chat where I could share the videos and pictures and all of them seemed like good people who are patiently waiting for their new furry family member to arrive so that they can finally cuddle them. This was a halfway house so the speak and it's time to realize that they are all going to be missed but we did a good job with them. It was hard at times but so rewarding! The only thing I now want to do is cuddle them and smoother them with love for the last few days we are still fostering them. For a few more days we can still call this their home, let's make sure they feel at home the last couple of days.

Prepping our daughter

Of course, I'm not the only sad one about them soon leaving, so is our daughter. I mean my boyfriend will miss them too but he wasn't playing and cuddling with them as much as we were because he had to work many hours and was not in the same room as them. It's time to keep reminding her that these kittens are not here to stay and that we will have to say goodbye soon. It seems she's taking it well and just enjoying the last days as much as I'm doing. We want to make the most out of it, especially now that their poop is finally back to normal and all the cleaning up after them tasks are so much easier than last week. Great timing!

Just a few more parts to go, thanks for reading!

Sounds great, doesn't it?
Your profile picture reminds me of the big spider I found in a water bowl last week, gave me the shivers :)
