A nice Saturday walk

Last weekend, the weather was nice so we had a long walk through the city park to enjoy the sun a bit. Not too much though, because the weekend before I was burned so badly that I tried to avoid the direct sun as much as possible from that day on. I could not avoid being in the sun the full day, but there was enough shade under the trees in the park.

I also reached my 10k daily steps goal thanks to that walk, so that's another plus. The main reason to walk through the park was actually to test out the new phone that I bought last week. After four years of service, it was time to replace my old phone for something better because it was getting an oldie by now. Honestly, I mainly needed a camera upgrade.. :-)

You'd expect me to share a lot of pictures, right?

Well, I'm not as I'm still trying to get to know my new toy, as I never had a Huawei phone before and defo not a phone with several very sweet cameras in it. I've shot some cool pictures already but also some failures because I have to find the right settings (if the AI setting isn't enabled lol). The first impressions were great, let me tell you that!

Tomorrow I will head over to an unknown area and hope to be able to shoot some cool pictures that are worthy to share.

Back to the pizza

After a long walk through the park and then also the biggest part of the route walking home, hunger started to appear. And there it was: a pizzeria, woohaa! It has been a long time since I was at a pizzeria and I honestly felt like having a decent pizza as soon as I looked at the menu. So pizza it was, I ordered a four cheese pizza because I remember how I used to love these back in the days. I forgot that for some unknown (lol) reason it had been a while since I ate a four cheese pizza.

As soon as my pizza was placed in front of me, I remembered the reason. The enormous amounts of fat dripping on the pizza making it almost impossible to eat because the bottom is so thin (which I love normally!). Looking at it was a disappointment and after one bite, I decided I was not going to torture myself by being annoyed about it and let it cool off first before eating it. Because I also remembered how I used to prefer eating a four cheese pizza cold..

So this pizza picture with one part missing was when I tasted it, and decided it wasn't a big success. But no worries, I ate it all in the end and it tasted better than it looked.

No love at first sight, but tough love in this case!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

One of my biggest issues in life is pizza-disappointment. Like you I have ordered pizza when out and been a little disappointed with what turned up at my table. Also like you I have often consumed it anyway because...Well, it's pizza! Lol.

I tend to make my own mostly now, although still have a few favourite places to go when the need to have a professionally-made pizza arises.

Oh those are actually real first world problems!!! I have encountered this issue quite a few times as well in the past, probably it's the reason I was a bit hesitant to sit down in any pizzeria from the last time it happened until last weekend.

Making your own is simply the best, I agree. I just often don't feel like making the pizza dough, and lately, I really lack time to do so.

I can't count this one as a favourite place to go to though, still need to find that one haha. Thanks for stopping by!
