I watch the river // Observo o rio

I go down the river looking for a good place to rest my body and watch the water while lead-colored clouds paint the sky.
I stare at the water that slowly follows its flow between branches, fish and memories.
These green paths so marked by fishermen and wanderers have in their soul the record of history.
Nature, still untouched, remains as an imposing warrior in the midst of the electric chaos of concrete that surrounds it.
I feel the first drops of rain, I don't mind getting wet.
The birds stop singing and the gray tone of the sky now drips through the air.
I hear the roar of the atmosphere, which indifferent to any presence, collapses intensely, washing away the place's existence.
I imagine the desperate people running for shelter, dodging the drops as if they were going to kill them.
I imagine the fish in those waters, watching the raindrops creating designs on the surface and tempering the river with air.

Desço o rio procurando um bom lugar para descansar meu corpo e observar as águas enquanto nuvens cor de chumbo pintam o céu.
Fito água que lenta segue seu fluxo entre galhadas, peixes e recordações.
Estes caminhos verdes tão marcados por pescadores e andarilhos tem na alma o registro da história.
Natureza ainda intocada, permanece como uma guerreira imponente em meio ao caos elétrico de concreto que a circunda.
Sinto as primeiras gotas de chuva, não me importo em me molhar.
Os pássaros param de cantar e o tom cinza do céu agora escorre pelo ar.
Ouço o rugir da atmosfera que indiferente a qualquer presença desaba intensamente, lavando a existência do lugar.
Imagino as pessoas desesperadas correndo em busca de abrigo, esquivando-se dos pingos como se fossem lhes matar.
Imagino os peixes naquelas águas, observando os pingos de chuva criando desenhos na superfície e temperando o rio com o ar.
