BIBLE EXPOSITION HELD ON ZOOM 3RD SEPTEMBER,2021
Summary of what I learnt from the teachings of brother Eli on our Bible exposition held on Zoom.
The wisdom of this world is different from the wisdom of God. A lot of people have misunderstood the Bible because they don't have the wisdom of God. The wisdom that is necessary for salvation, its not what we can find in every man. It is a gift from God.
Ecclesiastes 8:17
Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise manthink to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
1 Corinthians 2:6-8
6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Wisdom and knowledge cannot be attain by Man's ability it has to come from God.
John 5:20
For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
Like Solomon in the Bible asked for wisdom from God. His request for wisdom was granted by God and became the wisest man that has ever lived.
1 King 3:7-12
7And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. 8And thy servant isin the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
10And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; 12behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
Proverb 1:23
23Turn you at my reproof:
Behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you.
When you do not have understanding you can not acquire wisdom because they don't have the necessary understanding and knowledge of the wisdom of God.
Proverb 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
And with all thy getting get understanding.
Matthew 19:11
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
