Summary of what I learnt from the teachings of brother Eli

What are the important points we have learned from God's words discussed in the Zoom meeting?

I learnt about the content of prayer. How we should make our request known to God
A prayer should not a narration of story telling, according to the word of God prayer is making your request known to God. So we should make our prayer short and as brief as possible.
Asking Holy Mary to pray us as the catholic do is wrong in the sight of God it is not the proper way to pray.

Mary died in Christ and everyone who died in Christ will be resurrected on the day of rapture.
And when we pray we should always give thanks to God first for our lives and the things he has done for us, the things he is doing for us and the one that he is yet to do before we make our request known to God. And in whatever situation we find ourselves let us give thanks to God.

Philippians 4:6
This scripture explains that in everything we should make our request known to God with Thanksgiving

What are our old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening in the Zoom meeting?

Before I heard the teaching of brother Eli I didn't know that it is prohibited by God to use vain repetition when praying. We should not ask for what is not necessary at that moment.
Pray to God for what you need at exactly that particular point in time. If your request is done in a proper way and with a pure heart it will be answered by God eventually. Because it is already in written that we should ask and it will be given unto us. If your ways are right with God and you're doing the good works your prayers will surely be absurd l answered.

Give thanks to God in every prayer you make.
Giving thanks to God should be the first thing we say before making any request. When we wake up in the morning we should give thanks to God first for the gift if life some slept but couldn't wake up the next morning. Thank him for the things he has done, doing and will still do.

Acts 1:24
Man may not have access to see our heart but God knows and sees the heart of all men. He knows the people that are right with him

Mark 11:24
This Bible portion is a prove that whatever our heart desires we should pray and believe that we shall receive them and our believe will make it come to pass we shall receive them

How does the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives?

Before we make our request known to God we should give thanks to God first. Just as Jesus Christ did here in the book of Mathew 15:36
The Bible recorded that Jesus fed thousands of people with just seven loaves of bread and two fishes because he gave thanks to God he didn't complain that the bread and fish was not enough.

A lot of Christian pray to God only when they are in need once they get what they want from God, prayer to God becomes an history. That should not be our case. We should pray to God in times of difficulties and comfort.

Luke 18:
God will avenge whoever is serving him wholeheartedly and cry day and night in prayer unto him.

We should pray day and night nonstop. Pray before going to bed, pray to God when you wake up in the morning.

I Thessalonians 5:17
This scripture explains it all. Let us learn to pray without ceasing it is a commandment from God. Praying shouldn't be something we do seasonally it should be part of our daily activity

If you have an evil heart and you do wicked works. It is impossible for your prayers to be answered by God. God does listen to the cry of the wicked.
So before ever we make any pray we should ensure that our heart is pure and holy. If you have grudges for your brother remove it from your mind before you make any prayer forgive those that might have offended you in the past before you make your request known to God.

Proverb 15:8
The portion of the Bible says Any man that has a wicked heart that is filled with evil prayers won't be answered. A prayer of a wicked person is like an abomination in the sight of God. But he finds joy and delight in the prayer of a righteous man

Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
