Chaloemla Park Graffiti Park in Bangkok.

A couple of weeks ago when, I was in Bangkok city, I was interested in seeing a few things in the short time, I was visiting the big smoke and of the one thing, I had on my list was to see some graffiti artwork around town so when, I google graffiti artwork in Bangkok a few places came up telling me that yes graffiti artwork was alive and plentiful in Bangkok city, apparently in the last few years due to a famous graffiti artist going by the name of AlexFace visited Bangkok and joined up with other Thai's and European street graffiti artist and since then it spread all over the city of Bangkok.

I didn't have a great deal of time to go hunting down graffiti far and beyond the city but when Chaloemla Park came up on google this park took my interest not only because it was easy to get to but because it seemed to show a great deal of interesting professional street art all in one place.

Google map was telling me, I was six stops away from Chaloemla Park so, I bought myself a train ticket to Ratchathewi station, jumped on the BTS Skytrain, as they call it here in Bangkok and away, I was only a 20 minute ride on the Skytrain as, I was approaching Ratchathewi station, I could see Chaloemla Park below glowing at me with all them colors as, I was passing by along this main road up high on the Skytrain.

Arriving at Ratchathewi station, I got off and walked to my right hand side down the stairs and starting walking away from the station along the main road, it's only like a 5 minute walk from the station and you will arrive at Chaloemla Park you can't miss it as the graffiti really stands out even as you turn left into this little alley to get into the park you will see this old abandon building which has some graffiti over it but nothing spectacular till you get into the grounds of Chaloemla Park.

Chaloemla Park is not what you would imagine a park to be it's not a huge green area park but nice enough to come in have a walk around and enjoy looking at all this amazing professional graffiti artwork a lot of photographers have been known to come here to film some movie scenes here and also famous for wedding photographers with there wedded couples.

Having many office buildings in the area some people will come here just to sit on the benches to have there lunch and maybe get to watch a graffiti artist at work.

The day I was there, I was lucky enough to see a young Thai graffiti artist at work, I got talking to him and he was telling me that the graffiti artwork changes regularly, it doesn't stay the same from month to month if you visit this park regularly the artwork changes, it's like a place where graffiti artist come to show of there work and then, is replaced by another graffiti artist more like a art gallery, I would say and nice to have that change of artwork makes it more interesting.

There is also a nicely painted out soccer field where the Thai's will come together and play there friendly game of soccer.

The young Thai graffiti kid that, I was talking to the day, I was there was telling me that this actually used to be abandoned building site and the Bangkok council decided to fence it of, give it some color and add a playground for the kids.

You know when, I was looking up Bangkok graffiti, it bought up many hidden alleys where graffiti artwork could be found but I am glad I came to see Chaloemla Park, it really has a great show of graffiti professional artwork and all in one spot and there are even some amazing restaurants right nearby the Skytrain station if your feeling a little hungry after enjoying all that amazing artwork.
