Taking to the Streets.
Lately with the covid cases taking a sharp rise in Thailand, work has become a little slower for the reason many businesses have closed down during this lockdown and curfew period, people have to be indoors by 9pm meaning people are fearing this new delta spread of virus and are not going to work, so we are not getting our car parts delivered not allowing us not to work on all cars. This in fact is giving me more time and flexibility to relax and do a bit of extra walking, although it is annoying having to wear that mask when walking around outdoors but I feel better using my time more efficient then sitting in a small room all day so today, I decided to do a mid-afternoon walk.
I decided to take the baht bus to the other end of Jomtien Beach, which was about 5km away from my place then walk it back slowly to see what interesting things might be going on at this end of Jomtien beach, getting there it felt like I was the only one at that end of the beach only the sleeping dogs and the beach in between me but I actually did not mind the peacefulness.

It was lovely to see this place empty and in many ways you would love it to stay like this, but my worry is for those that have spent a lot of time, effort and money building business only see it all destroyed a very sad situation to see like in most other countries but it was delightful to see some people still maintaining there mind, health and stability like these happy people having a fun game of sand tennis on Jomtien Beach.

Walking further along there was some teaching of water sports going on a bit of surf kit flying a sport that requires a lot of energy and stamina and can be a very cruising sport.

Then there are the ones that like cursing the streets in a different manner on a electric scooter or a 3 wheeler motorcycle in comfort, it all makes up the easy life and charm of a tropical destination city even in this covid period.
What I love most no matter what time of the day it is you will always find street food or little cafe and restaurants in the middle of no where walking along the beach roads ready to serve you with the best street foods.

What I do love seeing on my walks is some great street art whether it's done on shop walls, house walls or just on brick or metal walls as long as it's been done in a good form it is always nice to admire, especially if you know what it might resemble. This Sands Cafe had one of the best street art, I have seen in Pattaya.
Then there were the ones that are just average, don't know what there meanings are but still, it brighten up the streets a bit.
If your into Go-Karting they have one of the best formula one tracks here in Pattaya, to try out your driving skills will definitely have to try this at some stage.
People were finding the best way to enjoy themselves and try and live the norm, I think been here in Jomtien beach despite the covid situations and lockdowns we are still allowed to go for our walks or just sit by the beach enjoying the breeze while texting away or eating some street food.

The walk was good, it gave me the change to see how people are doing out there how they are coping from going insane or suicidal and although for us foreigners that are living here we may be coping a little better then a lot of Thai locals that have lost there jobs or business and this is what made me proud today seeing foreigners helping the not so fortunate local Thai people this is humanity sticking together, hats of to these heartwarming generous guys.
Even the more generous wealthy Thai people are helping out there own people in these hard times, this is what, I love about Pattaya, it's become one community as a whole, as it should be all around the world in these difficult times.
