Have you ever gone to a café because you were tempted by an influencer's review on social media like Tik Tok or Instagram? Maybe it's because you saw the influencer reviewing the cafe because it's nice and Instagram-able, or because they think the menu is really good.

That's why I'm here. Having seen some influencers' reviews about this cafe, I was curious and visited this place. Actually, I'm not the type of person who goes to certain places just because I've been poisoned by social media, unless I'm looking for something specific. However, this time, since I was going to an area close to this cafe, I figured why not just drop by.

In the end, that night, I actually visited a cafe on the recommendation of an influencer.

With an industrialist interior design concept, Mineral Cafe gives off a warm and welcoming vibe. For some reason, I always feel that these industrialist designs give off a warm and welcoming vibe. So, as soon as I walked in, the two baristas who were ready to serve customers immediately threw me a sweet smile. One thing I learnt later is that our mindset towards other people or things is very important. It was like at the beginning I thought Mineral cafe was friendly and warm, finally, I also received warm and friendly treatment.

Actually, I was confused about what to order tonight. Maybe it's because there are so many menus in the meenu catalogue list. I asked what's the best selling item in this cafe, but the barista showed me the menu of non-coffee drinks. Hmm... that means I'll have to find another alternative because I want to drink coffee If I would normally be happy to order an amerikano, now I'm ordering something out of the ordinary. Turmeric Latte is a drink that has actually been around for a long time, but it has recently regained popularity due to the benefits of this drink which is supposedly good for the body's immune system. The turmeric blend is not too sharp but you can still smell the turmeric aroma. Actually, the colour is even more yellow in the original, in this picture it looks a little pucta. Over all, this turmeric latte drink is not bad. The flavour I requested was not too sweet. I smelled a little honey flavour. So, one of the ingredients of this Turmeric Latte is honey. The combination of milk, honey, and turmeric is perfect for an evening drink.

I ordered Milk Banoffee to accompany my turmeric latte. Maybe some of you already know what Banoffee is? From what it says on the menu, Banoffe is an English dessert pie made from bananas, cream, toffee, combined on a buttery biscuit base.

So, this Banoffee has a fragrant aroma of banana, a combination of sweet and savoury flavours from banana, cream and biscuit. You can see the layers. The bottom is the biscuit, then the flat banana, then the top layer is the cream sprinkled with chocolate powder.

This dessert is not too sweet. Although I don't really have a sweet tooth, this Banoffee is quite acceptable. At 200ml, the Milk Banoffee at Mineral cafe is priced at 36,000 rupiah.

That was my mini mala experience, enjoying food and drinks at a cafe recommended by a social media influencer. It wasn't too bad, but it could be a lesson for me, to be more careful next time in choosing something to recommend.
