Movie Review: The Neighborhood, a Comedy TV Series

Hello everyone, today I’m here to share with you a movie review on a comedy series The Neighborhood and I think everyone will have a great time watching this one. It’s all about laughs and learning certain values and culture as well.

This movie falls under the comedy category and it is a TV series that is still being released after its premiere in the year 2018. It shows how diversity in a black community/neighborhood can be achieved after a white family moved in to settle in the neighborhood.

The new neighbors by the family name, the Johnsons are a white family moving in from Michigan to settle in a black neighborhood in Los Angeles where not everyone looks like them. But Dave Johnson is unbothered by the situation since he’s the most friendliest person one could meet, and he tries to make a good impression for his next door neighbor Calvin Butler.

Calvin isn’t someone who is particularly interested or happy about his new neighbor moving into the neighborhood and doesn’t want to have a good relationship since he feels the presence of the new neighbors may disrupt the good atmosphere and harmony in their community. As I said earlier, Dave is one friendly neighbor and he knows very well that in order to fit well in this new neighborhood, he must first of all try to win over Calvin since he’s very popular around the block.

Time goes by and there seems to be some fine relationships building around the two neighbors, even though Gemma and Tina Butler have been getting along since the Johnson’s moved in the new neighborhood, their son Grover Johnson has a good relationship with the sons (who are twins, Malcom and Marty) of Calvin Butler.

Overall I think it is a great movie and very enjoyable, which shows great insight into how different cultures and and race can both accept each other in order to coexist peacefully in a society. The movie also portrays and shows much more emphasis and attention to family and community lifestyle.

Oh the neighborhood, one of the movie shows I've never regretted watching. It was recommended by my bro and I can say boy I enjoyed it a lot.

I think it came to a time that I laughed at every scene or anticipated laughing at every scene. Its a cool movie and I will watch it over and over again.

My roommate keeps mocking me for watching it, he doesn’t believe it’s a great movie. I’ll always annoy him with my laughter anytime I watch it lol.

It's an incredibly hilarious series, I've stopped following the new episodes but I know it's still a pretty entertaining and original comedy series.

Nice post, @tiyumtaba.

I don’t think there’s anyone here that wouldn’t like this movie. It’s just so hilarious that they’ll keep you laughing the whole way through. I’ve not been able to catch up the new episodes myself.

I don’t know why I hate most comedy series having those people laughing in the background it kind of pisses me off. They laugh when it’s not funny😏

I don’t think you have actually given a chance to these type of movies. Just try to dedicate a little bit of your time to watch at least 2 episodes and I promise you you’ll like it and laugh more than those in the background 😂
