The birth of the first cryptocurrency in the market (Bitcoin) in 2009 was accompanied by a new technology called blockchain technology. Recently, many other sectors and industries have adopted the use of blockchain technology due to it successful use by Bitcoin and other emerging cryptocurrency such as ethereum, coinbase, webull etc. Blockchain technology is is a digitally developed ledger that is used to share information and organize data in a synchronized arrangements with complete transparency. Blockchain has helped the effectiveness and successful trading of Bitcoin because of the following characteristics;

1. Improved security ; the information on the blockchain cannot be easily accessed by an unauthorized person or persons.
2. Permanent stored data. Information already stored on the blockchain cannot be changed or tampered with any longer. Once it's saved, it becomes immutable.

4. Reduction of cost.; It is relatively cheap because transaction on it has eliminated alot of middlemen who could have exploited people while trading.
   All these and many more to mention a few are the benefits blockchain technology has which made it a better choice to adopt in other industries apart from finance.
