ASEANHIVE #3: Welcome To The Christian World Klyix Yohan

Baptism Of Kylix Yohan

Last January 08, 2022, my cousin's son's named Kylix Yohan celebrated his baptism. My whole family is invited but not of all is gonna make it come especially my father because he had a work that day. At the reception, I saw my uncle and auntie my cousin's father's and mothers, and I also saw some of my relatives. The guess is not too many because our municipality is under on alert level 3 so the venue accepted a 30% of capacity. I bring my gift to Kylix so when I saw him I gave it to him and he quickly opened that gift it's a train toy.

The Foods

All foods are Filipino dishes such as Chopsuey a mixed vegetable, Kaldereta a beef with sauce, Pininyahan a chicken with pineapple sauce, Kare-Kare, and Lechon. For the desserts, they have a Maccaroni Salad and for the drinks, they have a red ice tea and of course water. All foods are delicious most of the foods are ordinary dishes on every occasion here in my country.

The Venue

The venue is looking good the color motive is color white and red I really like the decoration of the table especially the balloons. The setup is plain and simple very much to the occasion. Every guest has their own but we need to have one set and a part to follow the minimum health safety protocol. I went to the back of the venue and I saw a Capiz Lantern Lights hanging on the tree.

This is how we celebrate a baptism or christening here in the Philippines it's just like a wedding after the church all the guests went to the venue for the gathering and of course to eat food.

Such a grand celebration! Glad to see this tradition still kept alive especially with everything going on and the modernization of our world. I can still remember my brother's christening, it was very fun and my entire family got together.

Looks like the little man enjoyed himself. So strange to see Toys-R-Us wrapping paper, are they operating in the Philippines. As far as I know, the company went out of business a few years ago in the USA. It was a source of good childhood memories, as we had to go far from the countryside to the big city just to get toys. So a trip to Toys-R-Us was almost like a vacation to me when I was a young.
