The concept of money
The truth is that the majority of us joined because of the incentives and the money attached to it. Why would people want to join multiple social media platforms when they are already accustomed to ones like Facebook and Twitter, where nobody has to pay for onboarding? Unlike those platforms, Hive often requires an insider to recommend you for a free account. Even then, it may not work unless you receive support or delegation from others in the form of Hive Power. Without it, most of a person’s activities will be limited, if not impossible.

So many of us come in for the money, and when the money does not come, many become frustrated and give up easily. This is especially true for people from this side of the world who depend heavily on whatever opportunities come their way. Someone without a job still has to eat, regardless of the platform they choose.
Money, they say, is the root of all evil. If you look closely, you may realise that this idea is not entirely unfounded. Money is why many people become involved in illicit or illegal activities, and some even go as far as engaging in money rituals.
However, I believe people often misunderstand the concept. Money is simply a tool of value exchange offered. If you render a service, you should be paid — that payment is what we call money. Not many people see it this way. Some claim you can make a certain amount of money by engaging in a particular venture or business, which may indeed be true.
On Hive, relationships matter more, especially for anyone who wants to thrive and build meaningful connections.
There is a saying that giving money does not equate to being human in someone’s life. There is a place for money, and there is also a place for human connection. There are things money alone cannot accomplish, you need people. Money cannot function by itself; it is merely a tool.
The concept of money is so broad that it is difficult to fully explain or exhaust in a single moment. It largely depends on individual experiences and perspectives.
Ultimately, it is about choice, what we seek and what we prioritise in life. Some people worship money like a god and will do anything to acquire it, even if it means being dishonest.
To survive and succeed on a platform like Hive, one must build meaningful connections and work towards sustaining them. You cannot simply join the platform and expect support without establishing relationships. You must contribute your own quota. Only then can you reasonably expect rewards and support. Life, as always, is about give and take. You cannot expect to remain at the receiving end at all times.

Back in the day most social platforms we joined was for pure passion and curiosity, nowadays the motive is money-driven
You are right. There is no passion like it used to be in the past.
Passion? So you mean, subscribing data to burn them off online just for passion sake? Such a person definitely gets poor some day.
Your writing is good and be a source of motivation. Money is needed while we're still alive. There are various goals in joining social media platforms, some just like writing as a hobby, like me to keep the mind alive, avoid dementia, find friends because this platform has a global reach. And to learn about cultures in each country, for example. Yes, it's true that if the money doesn't come, many become frustrated. So, writing depends on each individual's intentions and goals. That'my opinion and comment. Sorry if there are any mistakes. Regard.
We all have our intention as far as this platform is concerned. It is up to us to forge our path
Oh yes, that's right, everyone has their own choices and path. Thank you, my friend. Good evening, Indonesia time.
