My fitness journey so far

A healthy lifestyle involves several factors, one of which is exercise. Our bodies get to keep fit when we work out in any way.

"The condition of being physically fit and healthy," is how the Oxford Dictionary defines fitness. Exercise and diet are both important for fitness.

For the sake of this conversation, however, we are only allowed to discuss the exercises or related activities we engage in to stay in shape.

Before 2019

Prior to 2019, I hardly ever engaged in any devoted workout or regimen outside of my typical daily task. Even while I could make the case that they are exercises in and of themselves, the fact that I don't do them frequently means that they probably don't have much of an impact on my level of fitness.

One of the daily or weekly activities I engage in-- was fetching water. I do carry about 40-50 liters of water from the third house to my house- which is less than 100 meters. I also trek almost every day, although I do this maybe when going out within the neighborhood. I also began trying to do some press-ups.

2019...

But in 2019, after being introduced to the "home workout" app by a friend, I finally became aware of the need of exercising. I recalled being instructed to perform 10 push-ups for the first time. The practice was challenging for me since I wasn't used to it, but eventually, I became accustomed to it, and my ability to perform push-ups improved. But because of school, I was unable to continue, and I failed to keep up my streak.

Home workout versus gyming center

As a result of the membership fee and potential transportation costs from your house to the gym, going to the gym may be rather expensive. I also didn't enjoy going to the gym since I wasn't a huge fan, and because I am naturally slim, I found the idea of carrying a lot of weights tough.

However, the home exercise software is free, is simple to customize to your preferences, and offers several workouts for the body's many regions, including the legs, the stomach, the elbows, and other body parts.

So I practice these routines without any equipment in the comfort of my house, and I can confirm that it is effective.

Jogging

But in addition to exercising, I also remain in shape by running. I started jogging a while back instead of walking to grab some food, and it gradually turned into a habit. There were times when I jogged for one kilometer practically every day. Actually, I had no idea how far it was until a buddy of mine showed me a highly precise runner tracker program. This app shows me the distance I traveled as well as my pace and speed.

The stats of one of my runs are shown above in the screenshot. The 5 km race took place quite early in the morning.

Currently

Due to a variety of factors, I have temporarily ceased jogging and exercising. I'm hoping to resume my regular exercise schedule soon so I can get fitter.

Wow, you seem to have a really good routine, I know sometimes it's just so hard to keep up but the good thing is you are trying. Carrying that much keg of water must be really stressful but since you take it as part of exercise I'm sure it's getting easier, right?

Wow... You do do hard at this. Do fast and get back in the game. One thing I have come to notice is that it is easier to lose fitness than it is to gain it.

Yes, just like with stairs, it is simpler to climb up than to descend, it is easier to lose fitness than to build it.
