Tempus Fugit - Hive Goals

Although I can't recall when I first learned about Hive, I know it wasn't this year; it was the previous year. I'm unable to recall the precise time in the previous year.

But I do know that it happened within the final three months of 2021. We are now in the final three months of the year. And I can't help but wonder how time flies, hence the title of my post; Tempus fugit (a Latin phrase which means "time flies").

Although I was made aware of Hive last year, I didn't show any interest in it and didn't give it a shot until late February of this year. I created this essay titled "I am proud to have overcome my phobia of Hive." which you can read if you're curious about how I ended up joining Hive.

You may see that my current account was created on May 6, 2022, from the screenshot above, and it is now more than five months ago. However, I didn't publish on the platform for the first time until July 6.

Overcame my phobia

So, it took me two months after establishing my account before I started participating in this site. Because of this, I have only been an active user for a little longer than three months.

At first, the adventure was a rollercoaster, but now it is becoming more comfortable. I used to have a phobia that kept me from being active on the site, but thanks to my persistent blogging, that phobia has now vanished.

Because I was taking things slow, I didn't deem it fit to come up with solid plans for my hive progress. One thing I wished for was to end my phobia of Hive. I was able to successfully do this by starting a challenge called #100DaysOfHive, which I also wrote an article about. The aim of the challenge was for me to log in to hive every day and try to either publish a post or engage in others' posts.

I committed to making an effort to publish every day and to interact with others. Even though I was unable to continue my streak of publishing every day, I'm still pleased with my progress to date and am aware that there are still opportunities for improvement.

Became a member of Hive-Learners

I soon signed up for Hive Learners and successfully submitted my application to become a member. @prayzz informed me about the Newbies Initiative program, as I was attempting to join. I procrastinated submitting my application until the very last minute, despite having been informed considerably earlier.

Got selected for Newbies Initiative

My goal was to be one of the individuals selected for the project, and lo and behold! I was notified that I had been included in the project after seeing that I had been tagged in a post. I felt extremely fortunate to have been one of those chosen.

Conclusion and future goals

I have so far been able to carry out all of my commitments, except daily blog posting. Every time I forget to publish on a specific day, I feel guilty.

Now that I've read the essay by @starstrings01 titled "Layout your Hive objective," I'll be writing shortly about my hive goals for the upcoming three months and the strategies I'd use to achieve them.

I currently have several plans, one of which is to adhere to the Newbies Initiative program, take part, and do all assigned duties. I also don't want to miss any contests on Hive Learners during the week.

I sincerely hope that I will be able to stick to and accomplish all of these objectives. Since the first task in the Newbies Initiative is to write a thorough post on your Hive objectives and plans for the next three months, I would be doing that.

Thanks for reading!
