Today is International Poetry Day, a date that goes deep into the hearts of those who express their feelings in verses, stanzas or tenths. Some say that it is a minor art and, beyond my ignorance on the subject, I disagree because many times I have seen the beautiful built through poetry.

Poetry has accompanied us and accompanies us because it expresses feelings, strengthens wills and develops qualities. This is a manifestation of art that is admired throughout the world. Otherwise, the United Nations Organization for Art and Culture would not have designated a day dedicated to it.

Poetry and me

27 years ago I met my wife and her love transformed me into a kind of love poet and, every Valentine's Day or on other dates, I give her something that I believe is poetry.

Long live poetry

Poetry lifts me up,
It gives me life, it makes me fall in love,
Poetry is a dawn,
The reason that makes me bigger.
Poetry is the throat,
Where I swallow your love,
It is the truth, the value,,
That enamors my reason,
Poetry is heart,
Feeling, courage.

Una introducción necesaria

Hoy es el Día Internacional de la Poesía, una fecha que cala muy hondo en el corazón de los que expresan sus sentimientos en versos, estrofas o décimas. Hay quien dice que es un arte menor y, más allá de mi desconocimiento en torno al tema, discrepo de ello porque muchas veces he visto edificar lo bello, a través de una poesía.

La poesía nos ha acompañado y acompaña porque expresa sentimientos, fortalece voluntades y desarrolla cualidades. Esta es una manifestación del arte que es admirada en el mundo entero. De no ser así la organización de las Naciones Unidas para el Arte y la Cultura no hubiese designado un día dedicado a ella.

Hace 27 años conocí a mi esposa y su amor me transformó en una especie de poeta del amor y, cada Día de los enamorados o en otras fechas le regalo algo que creo es una poesía.

Viva la poesía

La poesía me levanta,
Me da vida me enamora,
La poesía es una aurora,
La razón que me agiganta.
La poesía es la garganta,
Por donde trago tu amor,
Es la verdad, el valor,
Que enamora mi razón,
La poesía es corazón,
Sentimiento, pundonor.
