[ESP/ENG] Celebrando el Día de la Mujer en el Hotel Comodoro

El miércoles 6 de marzo tuve que salir para mi provincia de origen porque una sobrina a la que amo con mi vida cumplió sus quince primaveras. Por tal razón, tuvimos que aplazar la actividad de mis trabajadores hasta mi regreso.

Realmente, todo estaba organizado desde hacía tiempo y solamente tenía que llegar el día para realizar la actividad. Es cierto que soy de los que digo que las fechas de aniversario, cumpleaños y todo lo que deba festejarse debe hacerse el día señalado, pero, en este caso tenía una causa de fuerza mayor, por lo que mis compañeros no quisieron hacer la actividad hasta que retornara de la actividad familiar.

Una vez en la Habana, mis compañeros de trabajo y yo decidimos hacer la actividad para nuestras compañeras.

Lugar de la actividad

Este es uno de los detalles que atendemos con mucho cuidado porque del sitio donde hagamos la actividad depende la calidad de esta. Es cierta que lo más importante es la calidad humana, pero, el lugar influye por la calidad del servicio, la oferta, los precios y muchos otros pequeños detalles que hacen la diferencia.

Además, debía ser un sitio especial y bonito porque íbamos a celebrar el Día dedicado a nuestras compañeras y amigas del área de trabajo. Por tal razón, se merecían un espacio ideal para ellas y es por eso que nos fuimos a festejar al Hotel Comodoro, uno de nuestros espacios favoritos.

Los fondos de la actividad

Muchos se preguntarán cómo es posible que en esta época tan difícil hayamos podido hacer la actividad en ese sitio. La respuesta está en que, desde hace varios años, tenemos la costumbre de recoger 400 pesos por trabajador para hacer las actividades de nuestro departamento y esta práctica nos ha sido muy útil porque nos permite costear nuestras actividades sin necesidad de recurrir a otros.

La actividad

Fue una actividad sencilla, pero, ha sido la mejor actividad que hemos hecho en estos 7 años que llevo al frente del equipo que comando y en el que nos sentimos como una familia que pelea, tiene sus roces; pero que se ama por encima de todas las cosas.

En la actividad hicimos las actividades que normalmente hacemos los cubanos.
Pactamos el inicio de la actividad para las 10Am porque el transporte está bastante difícil, pero, salvo un compañero, los demás llegaron en tiempo.
Cuando todos llegaron nos fuimos directo a la Cafetería donde haríamos la actividad y, ya en el lugar, nos sentamos alrededor de la mesa improvisada que hicimos para estar todos juntos.

Ahí tomamos café hecho por mí, merendamos, bailamos, hicimos bromas.
Una de las compañeras llevó a sus dos hijos porque no tenía a quién dejárselos y esos dos niños llegaron a iluminar la fiesta con su gracia y su ternura.
Sobre el horario del mediodía, almorzamos y, después, continuamos nuestra actividad, en la que no faltó la cerveza, el café y otros refrigerios.

El regreso

Cuando el reloj marcó las 4Pm tuvimos que terminar la actividad porque, a esa hora, la transportación se hace más difícil y muchos compañeros teníamos que trasladarnos a municipios alejados del lugar de la actividad.

Un comentario final

Las compañeras no pararon de dar las gracias por la actividad y nosotros le dábamos las gracias por ser parte de nuestra familia y porque, sin ellas no hubiese sido posible hacer esta actividad. Ojalá le pudiéramos haber dado más, pero ellas se sintieron satisfechas con la entrega.

Fue una jornada hermosa, en la que todos, absolutamente todos los que estuvimos, concordamos en que esta ha sido la mejor actividad que nos hemos dado y que tenemos la obligación de repetirlas.

A necessary introduction

On Wednesday, March 6, I had to leave for my home province because a niece whom I love with my life had her fifteenth birthday. For this reason, we had to postpone my workers' activities until my return.

Besides, it had to be a special and beautiful place because we were going to celebrate the Day dedicated to our colleagues and friends in the work area. For this reason, they deserved an ideal space for them and that is why we went to celebrate at the Hotel Comodoro, one of our favorite places.

Many will wonder how it is possible that in these difficult times we have been able to do the activity in that place. The answer lies in the fact that, for several years now, we have been in the habit of collecting 400 pesos per worker for our department's activities and this practice has been very useful to us because it allows us to pay for our activities without having to resort to others.

The activity

It was a simple activity, but it has been the best activity we have done in these 7 years that I have been in charge of the team that I command and in which we feel like a family that fights, has its frictions, but that loves each other above all things.

In the activity we did the activities that we Cubans normally do.
We agreed to start the activity at 10Am because transportation is quite difficult, but, except for one companion, the others arrived on time.
When everyone arrived we went straight to the Cafeteria where we would do the activity and, once there, we sat around the improvised table that we made to be all together.

There we drank coffee made by me, had a snack, danced, made jokes.
One of the companions brought her two children because she had no one to leave them with, and those two children brightened up the party with their grace and tenderness.
Around noon, we had lunch and then continued our activity, with beer, coffee and other refreshments.

The return

When the clock struck 4 p.m. we had to end the activity because, at that hour, transportation becomes more difficult and many of us had to travel to municipalities far from the place of the activity.

A final comment

The women did not stop thanking us for the activity and we thanked them for being part of our family and because, without them, it would not have been possible to do this activity. We wish we could have given them more, but they were satisfied with the delivery.

It was a beautiful day, in which all, absolutely all of us who were there, agreed that this has been the best activity we have given ourselves and that we have the obligation to repeat it.
