Lucky Romance tells the story of Shin Bo Nui (Hwang Jung Eum) an extremely superstitious young woman with a life full of misfortunes. Her parents passed away when she was in high school and she was left in charge of her little sister Shim Bo Ra who later has an unfortunate accident for which Bo Nui blame herself. On one of her many visits to have her fortune told the sorcerer tells her that to save her little sister Bo Ra she has to spend the night with a man born in the year of the tiger and as crazy as that idea sounds, she is so desperate to save her sister that it becomes her priority, to find a man born in that year and sleep with him. This crazy quest leads her to our protagonist Je Soo Ho (Ryu Jung Yeol) who has that characteristic she is looking for.

Romance de la Suerte cuenta la historia de Shin Bo Nui (Hwang Jung Eum) una joven mujer extremadamente supersticiosa con una vida llena de infortunios. Sus padres fallecieron cuando ella estaba en la secundaria y quedó a cargo de su pequeña hermana Shim Bo Ra que más tarde tiene un desafortunado accidente por el que Bo Nui se culpa así misma. En una de sus tantas visitas a que le dijeran su suerte el brujo le comenta que para salvar a su pequeña hermana Bo Ra ella tiene que pasar la noche con un hombre nacido en el año del tigre y por más descabellada que suena esa idea, ella está tan desesperada por salvar a su hermana que esa se convierte en su prioridad, encontrar un hombre nacido en ese año y acostarse con él. Esta alocada búsqueda la lleva hasta nuestro protagonista Je Soo Ho (Ryu Jung Yeol) quien tiene esa característica que tanto está buscando.

This K-drama is a romantic comedy, I think I only like this genre when it's made by Asians. This story is very beautiful and funny, beyond the silly scenes when they go to the fortune tellers, the humor here is quite simple and innocent as well as the way the romance unfolds. For those who know Korean dramas know that one of the nicest things about these stories is the respectful, adorable, innocent and beautiful way they present love. The main characters fall in love without noticing it, without any interest, it just happens. I've always found that very sweet and appealing, I feel that's how love really is, it's something that just happens.

Este K-drama es una comedia romántica, creo que solo me gusta este género cuando está hecho por asiáticos. Esta historia es muy hermosa y divertida, más allá de las escenas tontas cuando van a los adivinos, el humor aquí presente es bastante simple e inocente al igual que la manera en la que se desarrolla el romance. Para los que están familiarizados con los dramas Coreanos, saben que una de las cosas más bonita de estas historias es la forma tan respetuosa, adorable, hermosa e inocente en la que presentan el amor. Los protagonistas se enamoran sin notarlo, sin ningún interés, solo pasa. Siempre he encontrado eso muy dulce y atractivo, siento que así es el amor de verdad, es algo que solo se da.

The main character Je Soo Ho is a genius with an IQ of 200, this may become admirable but this very fortune was his misfortune; being different is never easy and he was no exception. Soo Ho grew up in a unique way, he never felt understood by anyone, he was simply above others, the challenges he had were simple for him so he was bored when studying and so on. Soo Ho was a victim of bullying for being different and very smart, time has shown that the meanness of young people can be something to be feared. And also to his bad luck when he finally found someone to connect with that person left without saying goodbye. So that's enough to know that it wasn't easy.

El protagonista Je Soo Ho es un genio con un IQ de 200, esto puede llegar a ser admirable pero esta misma fortuna fue su desgracia; ser diferente nunca es fácil y no fue la excepción. Soo Ho creció de una manera singular, nunca se sintió entendido por nadie, simplemente estaba por encima de los demás, los retos que tenía eran simples para él por lo que se aburría al estudiar y cosas así. Soo Ho fue víctima de bullying por ser diferente y muy inteligente, el tiempo ha demostrado que la maldad de los jóvenes puede ser algo de temer. Y también para su mala suerte cuando por fin encontró a alguien con quien pudo conectar esa persona se marchó sin despedirse. Así que con eso basta para saber que no fue fácil.

Todo esto generó un distanciamiento entre ellos especialmente entre su padre y él, ya que particularmente su padre nunca le dio un buen trato.

As for the protagonist Bo Nui because she feels that she is the bearer of bad luck (because her experience has shown her so) she lets herself be carried away by all these beliefs that for others seem quite absurd, but for her they are quite the opposite, for her they are a kind of escape or a way to keep hope so she is used to be branded as crazy. En cuanto a la protagonista Bo Nui por sentir que ella es la portadora de mala suerte (porque así se lo ha demostrado su experiencia) se deja llevar por todas estas creencias que para los demás parecen bastante absurdas, pero para ella son todo lo contrario, para ella son una especie de escape o una forma de conservar la esperanza por lo que está acostumbrada a que la tilden de loca. Admito que es normal creer en una que otra superstición pero ella es realmente muy extremista, y sinceramente a ella no le importa en lo absoluto como la ven los demás, ella es fiel a sus creencias hasta el final, aún cuándo estas creencias puedan ser un gran obstáculo en su vida.

The secondary male lead, Gary Choi, is one of my favorite characters. He is a young man known worldwide in sports, in tennis to be more precise, obviously he is also in love with our protagonist but their story is different. They have known each other since they were little, but he grew up in Canada. In his case also without realizing it he falls in love with her so it is sad to know that it will not be reciprocated. Gary Choi sadly doesn't enjoy of a nice past either, he was abandoned by his father when he was very small and for some circumstances ends up being raised by his adoptive parents, he loves them but you can imagine how complicated the whole issue of origin is and how it affects us. That's why Gary returns to Korea, to look for his father and that's how he reunites with his childhood friend Bo Nui.

El protagonista secundario masculino Gary Choi, es uno de mis personajes favoritos. Es un joven mundialmente conocido en el deporte, en tenis para ser más precisos, obviamente también está enamorado de nuestra protagonista, pero su historia es diferente. Ellos se conocen desde que eran pequeños, pero el creció en Canadá. En su caso también sin darse cuenta se enamora de ella por lo que es triste saber que no será correspondido. Gary Choi tristemente tampoco goza de un bonito pasado, fue abandonado por su padre cuando era muy pequeño y por algunas circunstancias termina siendo criado por sus padres adoptivos, él los ama pero no es difícil imaginarse lo complicado que es todo el tema de la procedencia y como nos afecta.
