Savings...

avatar

I have always had a certain obsession with saving, but saving intelligently, putting that money to work more or less safely. Deposits and bank accounts do not give much compared to inflation, so for a few years now my bet has been on index funds in which I make contributions regularly.
Apart from that, investing in BTC and other crypto are part of my most risky strategy.

As I get older, it is increasingly clear to me that investing in Real Estate, apart from BITCOIN, is the one that can ensure growth or, at least, a reserve of value over time. I have most of my savings in what I consider to be the least risky field in my country, which is real estate. It's been a while since I abandoned the idea of being an entrepreneur in my country since the conditions for the small businessman are getting worse, in fact, the successive political parties that govern and have governed this country have made Spain an "ideal country for civil servants", but a "hell for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs" since taxes and different bureaucratic obstacles make you abandon any business idea basically...
So, Index Funds, BITCOIN, and a few properties that generate monthly income is where I have my savings... and I plan to get a few more properties in the near future if the opportunity arises.

What about you guys? Do you put your savings to work or do you just spend them as soon as they arrive?

I put my savings to work, I’ve been investing in various businesses and it’s been paying off but lately I have been considering Real Estate and the sound of Civil service here in my country annoys me more than anything.

Thanks for sharing😃

I am doing kind of the same. Backbone is a diversified portfolio of index funds and stocks, both growth and value. And a growing crypto exposure as booster with mainly BTC, ETH and Hive of course.
Real estate is not really my thing so I don’t invest in that area.

For most of my life, I saved in cash, and now I chose crypto. Hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot with this one...

I guess the nice thing about real estate is it's pretty much the only investment you can actually live in... getting a decent bang for your buck!
