This is both! Really captivating show! Binged the season in one night! HBO does not disappoint! And yeah, with all that was going on, they still made sure we had really good laughs!
The HBO series, Winning Time; The rise of the Lakers dynasty, is an intriguing piece with a great story and the acting and cinematography top notch!
The piece is set to depict the transition of a mediocre team to the greatest team in basketball in 1980 as the Lakers journey to win the 1980 NBA championship.
I'm only gonna recommend movies and shows worth your while, irrespective of popular opinion and genre. But in this case, popular opinion stands with me on this.
If I didn't know better, I'd argue the movie was shot in the 1980s as the costumes and sometimes, the video quality, perfectly depicted the time period.
The story is based around the basketball legend Magic Johnson and the 1980 Lakers team. The series premiered March 2022 and a second season has been confirmed.
