En este articulo presentaré la importancia y el desarrollo de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial en Colombia. Hablaremos de los ámbitos mas importantes, su definición, el porque y el como la RSE es necesaria en un desarrollo sostenible de las empresas y la sociedad. Abarcaremos temas importantes como: que es la RSE, como surge la RSE, que normas rigen la RSE en Colombia y cuáles son los beneficios mas importantes del RSE para las empresas y la sociedad.

In this article I will present the importance and development of Corporate Social Responsibility in Colombia. We will talk about the most important areas, their definition, why and how CSR is necessary in a sustainable development of companies and society. ¿Qué es la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial?

Es el compromiso que tienen todas las organizaciones ante los impactos que sus decisiones y actividades generan. La responsabilidad social empresarial es un acto voluntario. Con una adecuada implementación de la RSE se obtienen múltiples beneficios, como por ejemplo la fidelización y excelente actitud de los trabajadores, sostenibilidad en el tiempo, aceptación de la marca, mayor liderazgo, etc. Una buena estrategia de responsabilidad social se basa en impactar positivamente a las comunidades mas vulnerables. La organización asume un rol activo en el desarrollo de la sociedad

¿Cómo surge la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial?

Este conjunto de compromisos y obligaciones legales que la empresa asume para cuidar y mejorar los impactos de sus actividades sobre la sociedad surge gracias a asociaciones de consumidores, sindicatos, ecologistas, y defensores de derechos humanos. Debido al crecimiento de la economía y de las industrias se percibe una necesidad de mitigar los impactos negativos que dejan ciertos procesos en las industrias, este hecho se hace innegable y con el paso del tiempo y el deterioro notorio del medio ambiente se hizo una intervención con el fin de mitigar y controlar estos efectos dañinos.

How ​​does Corporate Social Responsibility arise?
This set of commitments and legal obligations that the company assumes to care for and improve the impact of its activities on society arises thanks to consumer associations, unions, environmentalists, and human rights defenders. Due to the growth of the economy and industries, there is a perceived need to mitigate the negative impacts left by certain processes in the industries, this fact becomes undeniable and with the passage of time and the notorious deterioration of the environment, an intervention was made with in order to mitigate and control these damaging effects.

¿Qué normas rigen la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial?

Aunque existen normas en la RSE, están normas no son obligatorias, son normas que brindan un reconocimiento y una certificación a la empresa, lo que hará que su visibilidad sea mayor, pertenecer al listo MERCO ESG de empresas que cumplen estas normas de responsabilidad social empresarial. La SA 8000, ISO 26000, SGE 21, son las normas que regulan la RSE en Colombia.

¿Qué beneficios tiene para las organizaciones la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial?

Muchas empresas ven poco productivo implementar una metodología de responsabilidad social empresarial, sin embargo, esto trae a las organizaciones muchos beneficios, como por ejemplo mejorar su valor de mercado y el precio de sus acciones, aumento de ventas y una mejor reputación para la empresa, mejora de la productividad del trabajador y mayor atracción y retención del talento humano.

¿Cuáles son los ámbitos de actuación de la Responsabilidad Social?

Los impactos que busca mejorar las organizaciones con la RSE se refieren a cuatro ámbitos principales, estos son la sociedad, los trabajadores, clientes, y medio ambiente.
En la sociedad:

• Compromiso con el desarrollo económico, social y cultural de la zona donde actúan
• Generar empleo
• Evitar el traslado de la compañía
• Evitar el despido de trabajadores

Trabajadores:

• Generar un clima de cooperación, motivación y participación de los trabajadores
• Mejorar las condiciones de trabajo

Clientes

• Respeto de los derechos de los clientes y consumidores
• Claridad y fiabilidad de la información sobre sus productos

Medio Ambiente

• Técnicas eficaces para tratarlas emisiones y los vertidos de contaminantes
• Recuperación de materiales y el desarrollo de estrategias de ahorro energético
• Productos duraderos y envases ecológicos

What rules govern Corporate Social Responsibility?

La Responsabilidad Social Empresarial y la inclusión y diversidad

Otro de los ámbitos importantes de la RSE y que hoy en día encontramos muy presentes en las organizaciones, es la inclusión y diversidad, nos encontramos en una sociedad poli cultural y por esta razón es importante brindar oportunidades de trabajo y desarrollo a todos los integrantes de la sociedad. A través de ciertas metodologías de contratación las organizaciones buscan incluir a sectores de la sociedad marginados o con discapacidades. También se busca mejorar las oportunidades de trabajo y de vida brindando capacitaciones a los trabajadores y mejorar los perfiles profesionales de los trabajadores.

Ejemplos de casos de RSE en Colombia

La empresa cerámica Italia en la ciudad de Cúcuta, tiene unas políticas de responsabilidad social empresarial enfocada al desarrollo urbano, busca mejorar los barrios aledaños a la fábrica, la empresa se enfoca en arreglo y mantenimiento de parques y zonas sociales, capacitaciones gratuitas y aportes de materiales a obras públicas. Estas políticas de responsabilidad social tienen un impacto positivo en la sociedad y una muy buena acogida por parte de la comunidad a la empresa. La reputación es uno de los activos más importantes en las organizaciones, y estas labores sociales ayudan de gran manera a tener una buena acogida por parte de la sociedad. También ayuda de manera implícita a promocionar la empresa y dar a conocer su nombre a la comunidad que son sus clientes más importantes.

Corporate Social Responsibility and inclusion and diversity
Another of the important areas of CSR and that today we find very present in organizations is inclusion and diversity. We are in a polycultural society and for this reason it is important to offer work and development opportunities to all members of the society. Las organizaciones en Colombia buscan cumplir las normas vigentes de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial con el fin de obtener una certificación que los incluya en el listado MERCO de RSE, teniendo así mayores ganancias y mejor reputación, lo que lleva a mejorar las condiciones de la empresa y los trabajadores. Aunque la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial no es obligatoria esta genera muchos beneficios a la empresa y ayuda a un desarrollo sostenible de las organizaciones y la sociedad.
