It was when i came to port harcourt in Rivers, a state in Nigeria, that i knew electric poles fell.

I can't possibly say my environment is all bad. If i should describe, i would say it's pretty liveable at least there's no case like flood on the streets or water entering people’s homes or anyone imaginable experiences some environment face.

So far so good, I would say the ones in charge of my location are quite a considerable set of humans, the necessities needed for a location to look comfortable are put in place.

However, the issue of poles always falling when it rains or sometimes when the winds blow is something that has caused a little discomfort to victims that have electric wires connected to the poles.

What am I even saying, this is the least of it all. I didn't mention the danger that comes first from a falling electric pole. Which could directly cost a man’s life and destruction of properties like houses and shops around.

Then again, Nigeria as it is and stays still as a developing country. Power supplies aren't 24/7 in most parts of the nation like it is in other countries, so imagine the scene where electric poles fall.. The pole can remain there for the next two weeks before the government incharge do the needy and once its fixed, you'll hear almost everyone in the environment screaming ”Up Napa”

Technology has done its part by making life easier for humans, it's just so bad that we are in power to give the average man an average living condition, and the poor are left at the side.
While the wealthy enjoy all the privileges of modern day life.

These have always been the rotation of the world, and we humans are positioned to blend and adapt to this style. only those who strive make it, and the others are left out.

The day I saw an electric pole fell, it wasn't funny. In fact it was about two to three polls with wires tangled together.

Nobody was able to pass through that street. Not even cars or even those walking. It was a good thing there was another route to getting to our destination, it was only farther from the place we usually take.

I haven't seen a fallen electric pole before though, but then it is very risky for the people living close by. Too bad our nation is heading backward every day.

Electricity poles falling is one major factor why there is never power supply when it is raining
The naija society is just scattered and things are always done half-hazardly
It is well

Seeing fallen electric poles is no longer a new thing in my city, Infact whenever it rains, there is possibility to see one or two down, and that's end of discussion for the locations that were affected because it will take weeks before the light is fixed.

Electric poles falling is not a new thing in this our wonderful country, Nigeria. And painfully, if one isn't careful, they might get shocked. It's that bad.
