THEN AND NOW (LOH #184)

So much so that the heavens have smiled and are still smiling on the feminine gender. We can clearly say the day is bright and almost fair, oh yeah! We're getting there soon.

Reflecting on the stories I was told as a child, on how back in the days where the girl child was deprived of education because she would grow up to get married, leaving her parent's home to her husband's.
This and numerous laws were made to restrict women.

I would say society has always given women a role, which is being responsible for the kitchen, children and certainly the husband.

However, just as my first words were... “Heaven did smile on us”.
The role stands but it's now on a different and higher ground.

Aside from access to education, women are now given a voice and willpower, which has proven to be a great breakthrough for feminine creatures.

The liberty to stand head high in our society of today, and then be envied and admired as well as encouraged by this same society.

I think all that's left out is the acceptance from society to let women have an equal say in participating and being leaders across nations of the world.

The society of today has embraced the importance of woman and also gave room for them to grow and work at their respective fields.

Then it’s left for her to make a choice after marriage on whichever she want her life to be.

I remember when I heard those initial restrictions on women but thank God there is a great change and chance today and we can see women doing great in society and fighting for human rights and we will do more not to compete with the men but work with them to make things better.

The restrictions are gradually being lifted. Nowadays, you will see women occupying sensitive positions and having a say in some decision making in our society today. For the president, it's a matter of time

Imagine if those beliefs and laws are still intact, you wouldn't have been here writing. You would be in your husband's house , waiting for him to bring money 😂
