My Friday

Friday means a sense of excitement. Every Friday a new thing happens to me and so I had the same expectation today. Getting up very early in the morning, praying, enjoying the sunrise is like a dream. Because it never happens, every Friday goes unexpectedly. Even today it is no exception because waking up at 11 in the morning, hoping to enjoy the sunrise, is nothing but a daydream.

However, Friday means busyness, holidays are still busy throughout the day. When the university was open, classes were also held on Fridays. I used to get up in the morning and leave for class on holidays. When I went to University, many friends used to express their experience of taking classes on holidays with annoyance. Though my thoughts are different, what happened on holidays is more enjoyable to spend time with friends than to lay in my room, not only that but also to go to peaceful places around varsity. Boat trips, sitting by the river, and chatting with friends, this is where inner peace begins. Others expressed annoyance but I never felt annoyed when spending time with friends on holidays.

But now the time has become quite changed! The times in this pandemic are going by so fast that it seems like Friday is coming after Friday. Now it is not necessary to say Friday is a holiday, because everything is closed due to the pandemic. Sometimes It's difficult to find doing works without using a mobile phone and laptop all day, which makes it very difficult to remember the time of the clock and the date of the month., though I'm not used to remembering these:3

To me Friday is more special than any other days of the week because Friday Jumu'ah prayer bring a lot of peace of mind. Only through prayers, I can realize that today is Friday. We Muslims enjoy the excitement of this day through prayer. I just heard a piece of heart-breaking news that the educational institution will be reopened from the 12th of next month. Not that time was going too badly, but I was getting sick from lying in the room all day. So again the busiest time will be spent through the class, will stay healthy.

I will go back to the busiest time after spending time in despair. It feels good to think about it, but when I thinking all those assignments, lab work, presentations have to begin again, it seems like the closure was good. How long can you watch your phone or watch movies on your laptop while sitting at home? There will be a time when you will feel annoyed. There will be an expectation that I need a holiday that I can rest a little but these two years have given us so much vacation time in our lives that reminds us of our busiest days before.
