Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of February 11th 2020

avatar

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They're by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today's reading is for the week of February 11th 2020.

The method of doing these readings is not my original idea - I was inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them, here's a quick breakdown on how this works...

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you've decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don't be worried if you don't happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention...

Here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself - whatever you need to do to focus. When you're ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don't see the picture of the front of the cards before you've made your choice, I'm putting a graphic here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. We're just a handful of days away from the start of the first Mercury Retrograde of 2020 on February 16th, so I thought I'd share a Jar Spell put together by my dear friend & Rockstar Goddess Melody. Be sure to take a peek at her Facebook page, Wired in Hawaii - Wire Wrapped Shells & Stones because she makes some wicked awesomesauce creations!

Finally, it's now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards...

...and the messages for each card are...

1. Eight of Wands

Fly like the wind. Nothing is holding you back now! You got your bow ready by laying the groundwork, and now you're shooting like an arrow through the sky towards your goal. Things will happen very fast, but try to remember all the crazy busyness is leading you in a very positive direction. Remember what Merida (who knows a thing or two about arrows) said - "There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it." Stay focused on the bullseye, and you'll hit your target in no time flat!

Tarot Tidbit: The Eight of Wands was last seen, in the third position, back in the fall on November 5th, 2019. Prior to that, it was over a year since its last appearance.

2. Seven of Cups

Decisions, decisions. You know the saying, "Careful what you wish for - you might get it?" After wishing you had more options, suddenly you have a ton to choose from. Now is not the time to be dazzled by the display - instead, take some time to carefully consider the practicalities involved, and pick based on reality, not wishful thinking. This card also shows up for me as a reminder to stop dreaming, and start doing - or, in the immortal words of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, "Don't dream it, be it."

Tarot Tidbit: The Seven of Cups hasn't been seen in over a year! The last time it was also in the second position, on New Year's day (aka January 1st, 2019).

3. Eight of Pentacles

Back to the drawing board.. One of the best, most reliable ways to make things better is slow, steady, and focused work. You’ve been scattered and unfocused because of the turmoil around you. It’s time to take a deep breath, and if necessary, start from the beginning again. Try not to think about the end game – instead give your attention to ensuring the details are right, and you're doing your best work. And don't despair - you were definitely on the right track, and as Maxwell Smart would say, you only "missed it by that much" and you'll be back on track in no time!

Tarot Tidbit: The Eight of Pentacles also hasn't been spotted in just over a year! The last time it was also in the third position, way way back on January 29th, 2019.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of February 11th 2020! Bright blessings to you!
