Blue is the color of this walk
Today the sun was shining bright and the temperature was high, the perfect day for a nice swim or a nice walk. Well, we had two nice dog-walks with Markos, but no sea. I think we all know well how we can't plan a single thing in life with certainty, so since my plans have gone all the way upside down these days, I will take you for a walk I did with @fotostef a few days ago on a rainy dusk at my hometown, Nafplio.
It suits better with my psychology right now, since I feel a bit blue. Not in a bad way. There are changes happening inside me (mostly) that I try to deal with. Experience has shown that this process always happens for a reason. Of course I don't know the reason yet, that's why I feel blue I guess :)
But I am happy I got the laptop for a while. Stefanos is isolated due to covid, so he has the laptop (the one and only since we still are on holiday) with him all day long for movies etc. He has a good reason I must admit! But I couldn't miss a #wednesdaywalk!
We are on the rocky pier that was built recently and offers a great view of the city. That evening was great, it was about to rain and it did rain. The sky was heavy and there was this calmness before the storm, only that we didn't have a storm, but a few drops :)
These days there was an exposition of... yachts at the harbor, a great contrast with the humble fishing boats.
I love old things. Anything! Look at this!
It was a time that many boats had sailed and many parking spots were empty. Some minimal, others not so much :)
Even with bricks... Some people just want to built everything!
But there is always beauty around to save us :)
This is definitely a meeting point for fishermen. Not many people that day...
Markos was having a great time. Very happy that we didn't meet again any Carcharhiniformes fish like we did a few days before that walk, on taht same spot. They had just fished it up and was still alive, pretty scary. Especially if you were in the sea a few hours before, like I was. Although they rarely attack to people, no bloodthirsty kind of sharks, just from the same family. Enough for a good shake though!
The view of the city as it was getting darker. And the line of yachts...
I think I will stick to the humble fishing boats :)
Sending you all love! Happy walks everyone!
This walk is my contribution to the wonderful #wednesdaywalk challenge by @tattoodjay.
All the pictures and the words are mine.
If you would like to know more about me this is my introduction post!
I do love the blues in Nature so totally loved your post such beautiful images
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Thank you @tattoodjay! It was the perfect time to be there and I am glad you liked it :)
most welcome, some posts just make me think I wish I was there and your post did just that to me
This is an amazing feedback! So happy, thank you!
A great place to visit and a hidden spot from the crowds, fishermen know best :)
The blue color looks cold brrrr
How's he dealing with Covid? All good?
And I love that someone added a mat to their dock haha
Oh, I am reading your travel story right now, which is amazing!!!
The mat idea was crazy, haven't seen anything similar again! Loved it too!
He is dealing ok, hopefully free again soon :) Thank you for asking!
Thanks for reading that ginormous post \o
Most people don't have the patience
Oh yes, I've noticed that! Even with 300 words :)
Going back to your post, cause it deserves my concentration!
Wow, amazing. I only have so much time in my afternoon so I usually scroll to see which #wednesdaywalk catches my eye and comment on those, vowing to try to comment on at least five, but usually no more as I just dont have the time. I'm not really looking for names of friends, just interesting thumbnails that make me go - ooh, maybe this is the one to click on - for example the one of the red acacia trees this week. And of COURSE your moody blues caught my eye! The photos are stunning - I am not sure which one is the best but there's some great angles and lines with the old wooden jetty that look so cool. And of course I always smile to see @fotostef . Great shots.
Sorry you've been feeling blue - but as you say, it's usually an indication of something shifting or happening and it's always wiser to listen to it than try to medicate, right?
Although a glass of wine by the seaside would be nice...
I've been surfing all morning in very glassy blue water, it's Autumn, no wind, cold, beautiful cobalt skies... just stunning - like sliding on velvet or something. Just divine, divine, divine.
Thank you for the lovely comment and support @riverflows :)
Glad it caught your eye! I like your "system", commenting on at least 5. Stefanos has the laptop these days (well, he is in quarantine and I can swim at the sea, so it is quite fair I guess) and my phone can't have Peakd for some reason, so I have missed a bit of what's happening although I try not to lose contact with this microworld :)
Haha, yes! Stefanos has now more pictures that he ever had in his life!
Oh yes, definitely! And of course, we both know that there is no way to medicate it, but only to cover it for a while. Go with the flow is what I try to remind myself.
Last paragraph was exactly what I wanted to read as an ending! So nice! The sea here is cold too! If you imagine that it had been snowing till the end of March, going in on April was crazy and... divine ;) Every day is in the sea is divine!
Lovely blue shots. I like what @riverflows said about listening instead of medicating. How it would be if I or we all listened more. The cycles of life are beautiful and it is great to see you fully be in this one.
Exactly! Going with the flow, trusting that it all happens for a reason. Not easy though, haha! Luckily swimming in the cold water helps a lot!!! Thank you for your supportive reply!
Casey's game for today is Blue hour. You can use one of these!
Oh yes, still thinking of which one to choose! My last posts seem to be full of blues, haha!
