For good eaters and good readers...

I have a pretty clear idea of the perfect gift and this is definitely a book, my all time classic... But I am not a writer, I am a weaver and a farmer. So when friends started asking me what I propose for Christmas gifts I came up with this package. And this is a package that truly contains a part of my soul and life. Actually this could even work as an introduction sequel post :) And in case you haven't read my first intro, this is the link.

Running a small organic farm in Eastern Crete is not easy. The terrain is hard and the climate is very hot and with low levels of rain. Believe it or not, this is the perfect micro-climate for olive oil and herbs! And for sure a challenging one for me, a city girl that wanted to become a country girl :)

So, these are the fruits of our hands. And by our, I mean brave @fotostef , too!

And when not being out at the fields like (a quite older version of) Heidi, I weave. And I love natural material. As you will might notice in future posts, I am a huge fan of jute and cotton! And an even bigger fan of triangles! Really! And I have a good excuse for that, at least good in my head :)

It feels good to look at these photos, it gives me courage that we are really doing something here. Cause it is many years of hard work, sweat and tears would not be an exaggeration in this case, behind this bottle, herbs and weft. But mainly it is all about the countless dreams behind this simple project!

I always remind to myself whenever I experience something made by real hands, an item or a service, not to forget to feel the dreams dreamt on the backstage.
