Incredible Rob Roy Glacier Track- New Zealand

What is your favourite track? If you are a hiker and nature lover, New Zealand is truly a paradise. I, fortunately, made some of the famous tracks like Mueller Hike, Ben Lomond, Roys peak and Isthmus Peak Track and today I'm glad to share another of my favourite track that I did, "Rob Roy Glacier".

They are so relaxing, and I come closer to take a picture of him 😍, so cute

During my stay on the beautiful South Island, I left Queenstown after 3 months of living for Wanaka and fell in love with this amazing town. Nestled 100km north of Queenstown, Wanaka attracts tourists all year round and a great destination for spectacular hiking attractions around lake Wanaka. Just a short driving distance from Wanaka, there is a large and well-known Mount Aspiring National Park with many astounding tracks and stunning surroundings that is certainly worth the visit when you're in Wanaka.

Named after Mt Aspiring - the third-highest peak in the country, this park is a wonderful land of mountains, glaciers, river valleys and alpine lakes and a hiker's paradise. Mount Aspiring National Park is considered the most pristine and unspoiled national park in New Zealand. Located between the Lake Wanaka region and the west coast on the southern island, the place is also known as Te Waipounamu.

What a spectacular and fresh

We visit Rob Roy Glacier Track on a sunny day early in the spring so the land is not really frozen. It takes us about a 2-hour drive back and forth from Wanaka, and the track takes only 2 hours one way, but we end up 6 hours in return because we spend a bit of time enjoying this breathtaking scenery. It's probably one of my favourite trails so far. I can imagine how cool to come here in the winter season when everything is frozen 😚☃️

This is rated as moderate and suitable for everyone. Beginning with a bridge over the Matukituki River, the track runs through oak forest and alpine vegetation and boasts amazing views of Rob Roy Glacier, river and dramatic cliffs. We are advised to look out for the curious Kea birds and parrots; unfortunately, we don't meet any of them during our walk. 🙂

It's a magnificent track, well marked and totally worth the effort. The view through the entire hike is absolutely beautiful and the purely natural landscape of Kiwi, so don't miss it if you plan to visit the Otago Region in the South Island. Mt Aspiring is large and much more to see, hopefully, I will get back here one day and explore more. 😍

Thanks for reading, and Have a wonderful weekend

Glacier melting is such a nice thing. Contrary to what environmentalists think, it's nice to walk on such clean earth.

If you were friendly with china, I would agree. It was actually high on my list of places to travel until Aberdeen was elected and started practicing cultural marxism.

I am saddened to say this is a decision-changing reality that PM has created, I am going to leave Canada for the same reason, I no longer have a home due to cultural marxism.

I am friendly with everyone 😃. NZ is worth living, and I would definitely come back and settle down if I have any chance :)
I'm sorry to hear that. I have 2 Canadian friends living here, and they told me that They don't want to go back. :(
I like Canada, and it's on my list to visit. I know many of my friends studying there and working hard to get residency. But I understand and see your point, for me I'm leaving Viet Nam soon when the world opens up again.

Thank you for your engagement and hope you have a wonderful week ahead

That was a nice tour Trangbaby. Congrats on the pinmapple cover. @splatts How many times you hear O-Cal called Rob Roy?

Thank you @dandays 🥰, and hope you're having a wonderful weekend too.
Is @splatts from NZ?

Negative. Splatts and I are both trained in the same electrical Union. Ocal is a special conduit, it's plastic coated and extremely rare anymore. But depending what part of the US you're in, that same Ocal is also called RobRoy.
