You are kindly invited to take part in TRAVEL CONTEST's theme today "Natural Shapes" :)

Feel free to interpret the theme in every way you like, hopefully more people will be inspired, motivated and challenged to join this contest round!

Here my entry for this topic.

This rock is actually not just any rock, but the base of the, now ruined, Alamut castle (also Hassan-Sabah castle). Around the year 1056 BC, this castle became the headquarters of the Ismaili cult, better known as the (first and original) Assassin's cult, which was a major influencing force in the politics of not just the region, but many kingdoms around it (even in the European continent).
After roughly 200 years the castle fell, under the Mongolian destructive conquest.
Today, there are unfortunately just a few base walls left, of what was once the home of the greatest library in the area, laboratories and basically a heaven for scientists, who could work freely there.

The picture was taken by me in May 2022.

Here is my entry for the contest natural shapes.

I done this photo in New Zealand close to Rotorua.
It is a Geysir.
Well, it was a bit strange, because there was a kind of an arena around and lots of people where coming at this time, when the geysir was supposed to spit out the water.

I understand that urge to visit places like this one, I've seen geysers in Iceland, some of them really huge and lots of people getting as close as possible :)

Yes, and there, the strange thing was, that everywhere was a sign, that it spots every day at 4 pm.
And guess what happended. We went there, a stuff came across and threw something in it. And like magic: The water cames out exactly 5 Minutes lager.:)) !LOL

This beautiful statue can be found along the costa del Sol in Spain. To be precise in Estepona. Placed in a park where the sendero passes by. A walking route along the coast.
The sun was setting… 🌄

Natural Shapes

A friend from the past gave me one of his plants one spring. In his house they grew easily, both in the sun and in the shade.
Time went on, disagreements and a move led us to never see each other again.

But the plant he gave me is still growing, and now in the dirt in the front yard, it's turning more green and reddish colors and it's spreading. Nothing dies.
Nature does not create anything in vain.
Are the cycles of life and death like the waves of the sea?
