Hi, travelers and photo lovers!

You are kindly invited to take part in TRAVEL CONTEST's theme today "Summertime" :)

Feel free to interpret the theme in every way you like, hopefully more people will be inspired, motivated and challenged to join this contest round!

  2. To enter, upload your photo(s) and text into the comment section below. There's no need to create a separate post.
  3. In order to be considered, an entry should consist of at least one photo and your personal story/info/memory.

  5. All the text you enter must be written by yourself in English.
  6. Deadline: One week starting from the datetime of the contest announcement.
  7. No NSFW content.

  • One Winner will be set as 40% beneficiary of the post including the winners announcement.
  • One Honorable Mention will be set as 10% beneficiary of the post including the winners announcement.
  • All winning and mentioned accounts will be followed, periodically reviewed and their best works upvoted.

I took this picture in Istanbul, this view is from the big island "Büyükada" onto the mainland, the huge coast that spans many many kilometers.
I hope for many interesting entries, cheers.

Congrats to all the winners and mentioned. Now I wanna join the next contest: "Summertime".
Summertime is the perfect sunny day and the moment when you reach the beach, sweating... and then you are happy and look at the blue horizon searching a little space where to put your towel and your colorful umbrella.
That happens in every beach, and also there in the Valencia's beach 😉

Actually, now I remember that I visited a beach shortly after one sunset, but it was very cold back then.
That was the beach that's very close to the lake. We went there and sailed on wooden boats inside the lake to photograph the various birds. :)

Ah I think L'Albufera (the lake) and probably the beach them should be El Saler maybe... a bit out from the city... the nature there is very nice.

Yes! I just checked the map, that was indeed the lake and the beach!
I also just remembered the beautiful warm reflections of Valencia in the still waters of the lake at night! :)
And the empty wooden quays there. Very romantic! :)

My entry for “summertime”

The best to depict summer time is a view of a southern Spanish beach with bright blue skies.
I took this photo on my iPhone in July 2021 in the town of Chipiona, Cádiz province.
In that time we were living in Cádiz city itself and exploring the surroundings.
It was a hot day but lovely with a bit of wind 🌬 the lighthouse couldn’t be missed in this photo.

I have to tell you here, I love the beaches of Cadiz when the tide is low and the hundreds of boats mooring "float" on the sands. The silhouettes at that time are epic!
