Keith Haring x Uniqlo UT Small Plate Collection

Hi Everyone,

I’m a fan of Japanese brand Uniqlo clothing as it is simple yet has great quality. In particular their UT T-shirt designs are my favourite. Every season, they will collaborate with different brands and designers and release a set of shirts in a particular theme. Recently a new Pokemon, Minecraft and Animal Crossing theme have been released in Australia so we have been stocking up. During the Black Friday sale, we decided to head to the store and get a few pieces but ended up with a full bag of clothes as the bargains were too good. The quality of the clothing really is great for at least 2 seasons and they rarely the designs rarely go out of style after the next year.

After we paid for our purchases, we were given a choice to collect some special small plates from the Keith Haring design. Apparently these were sold out in many parts of the world but customers were given these as part of the Black Friday sale if you spend over $50 (we spent WAY more than expected). Reading up about Kieth Haring, he is an American artist who showcases his artwork not only in galleries but also in various outdoor areas like streets and subways. All plates are made in Japan in the small Hasami Town in Fukuoka which makes these a little special especially we haven’t been able to travel, getting something from overseas is a small bonus.

Each plate is individually boxed with bubble wrap nicely protecting each plate. Each plate is around 20cm in diameter so its slightly bigger than a soy sauce plate. All designs I think are pretty cute with some more “out there” and others are more conservative. We chose one of each but they compliment well with each other. We probably won’t be using them until we move to a bigger place or when my current soy plates gets broken as I only got them recently them from another store. These are very generous gifts from Uniqlo and I’m glad we got to get it in store as I couldn’t see this offer online and would have missed out.
