I do worry about the exchange rate. Definitely, we won't spend much time in London. Mrs. is more interested in Durham and around Newcastle upon Tyne. We read somewhere that Edinburgh has the most libraries of any city. She might want to go there. For now, it's exploratory. When we retire, it may be longer visits as the visas permit.
As a couple, we would prefer to visit the countryside and villages with stops at historical sites, which I'm sure the UK has in abundance. She loves History. As for me, I'm just a generalist geek.
Hive is our excuse to travel. We intend to post what we see and learn. Perhaps, eventually, it will be our retirement income.
Oh, and we'll likely stop by Cardiff to see the Doctor Who attractions.
Well you will notice a huge difference in prices between London and the North East not to mention the friendliness in the people too!
Edinburgh is where I am from and can be pricey too! Yes history wise, well the UK is full of it, and there are so many awesome villages with amazing scenery that are full of historical sights.
Cardiff is cool, what does she think of the new Doctor Who I wonder, has she even heard of him!

Neither of us have heard of the new actor playing the Doctor.
We see that Russel T. Davies is coming back as show runner. That's a good sign.
Given the selection of the new Doctor and his companion, I worry they might repeat the dumpster fire Chris Chibnall created for Jody Whitacre. She deserved better writing. I think her season 13 was much better.
With Captain Jack Harkness, they've exhausted the novelty of an immortal's mating preferences. Harkness was also the first trans by becoming Face of Boe.
