I've tried it and I still don't like it

"You will never know unless you try it";

One statement I seem to can't get rid of. My friends, family, they all say the same thing especially when they want you to try something new.

"You can't know if you won't like it if you don't try it";

My mom's national anthem. She made something off YouTube last week and asked me to eat it. It looked like it's was still alive and when I refused, bamm!!!, the statement. I don't see how it's even true, I mean I've not gotten hit by a bus before but I'm pretty sure I won't like it.

In my house, you escape from one thing and get trapped by another. Running from my mom means running into my dad so he can hit you with the...

"Join the army, the reason you don't like it is because you've not tried it".

I love life, I love being alive. I know I won't like the army for several reasons and they're all food related. I can't live on rations, I'll die.

The only thing I'm sure I'll like if I try it is....😏😏, no not that, I meant alcohol, I'm sure I would like it, I've never tried it before but I've heard tales.

It's possible not to have tried something before but know you won't like it. Like putting your hand in an open flame or stealing an egg from a mother chicken, have I tried it, no but do I know it'll hurt, yesss!!!!

The first time I tried pear, you know, avocado pear. My friends were like, "try it, you'll love it, trust us". I was better off trusting the devil. I didn't like it at all, I don't like the way it melts in my mouth. The same thing with them trying to get me to pet a dog, yes, this is very interesting;

I went to see a friend who had a dog in his compound. I walked and it started to bark. After Jude, my friend, came out, it stopped. He then proceeded to say,

"Come and pet her, she doesn't bite, you'll end up wanting to pet her all the time"

I should've have listened, she was so calm next to him, I thought I'd give it a try, she ended up chasing me around the compound. He said she was just playing but I think the dog and I knew the truth, if Jude wasn't there, I'd be dog food.

I could make a long list is things I'm very sure I wouldn't like so why do people keep on saying it?? Someone needs to change the narrative, it should be, "You can tell you won't like it but still try it", or if my mother has anything to say about it, "Whether you'll like it or not, try it because I said you should try it or you won't be getting any meal from me again".

I can feel what she made still move in my stomach, I tried it, I didn't like it, I didn't have a choice either, it was with that or death.

Haha that phrase is causing more harm than good, I've seen a lot of scenarios like that.

He said she was just playing but I think the dog and I knew the truth, if Jude wasn't there, I'd be dog food

This cracked me up 😅 and I totally understand why you think so.

Dog plays hardly seem like a play 😂 I'm saying this from experience 🥲

So we've changed the phrase and I support it! 🙌

You can't know if you won't like it if you don't try it

That sentence alone was the reason behind so many things in my mouth. Some of which not food or drinks and I won't speak of this further.

Brooo... 🤣🤣.

Oh, and the whole mother's and their brand new YouTube style dish for you to eat thingy, I can totally relate! But damn man... did she serve you raw duck or something? How could it still look alive? xD

Come and pet her, she doesn't bite, you'll end up wanting to pet her all the time...

Lol, if he did end up leaving you alone with those words... Those would've been the last words you'd have ever heard.🤣

Goddamn untrained dogs XD

Ahh... Fucking hilarious man XD
