EVEN WHEN THERE IS A STORM , TRY TO BE CALM 😔

)

Even though we try to love this country (Nigeria) with all of our hearts, they still manage to mess up the system. Last year, the government announced a change in the country's currency, and we citizens knew politics were involved. This year, they announced that all old currency should be deposited in the bank, which means we won't be using the old naira notes any longer. The first deadline was, I believe, the 31st of January.

Now that the deadline has passed and the old note ban has been extended until February 10th, it is harming many people and making it difficult for them to obtain the necessary funds (fiat). Children are going hungry because there isn't enough money to buy food. Yesterday, when my husband went to the market, he complained that the market wasn't functioning and that he couldn't do the things he needed to get done because of the money troubles. ,Because of how the government and some political leaders in the nation have subjected the entire nation to suffer for something they are not supposed to suffer for, there are traders who have no bank accounts, especially the older ones, and some of them don't even have a phone, let alone know how to use an ATM, there is no how they will be able to get their business done.

Even wealthy people are caught up in this problem, as evidenced by the claim that a man went to a POS agent to withdraw 20,000 Naira for the expenses of his family. However, the POS charge for the transaction was 5,000 Naira, so he was given a balance of 15,000 Naira , the money he worked for, its just like saying he bought his own money. As I try to comprehend why all of this is happening, the situation in this country is starting to irritate me. Is it the government's job to make life so difficult for the people it serves?

Okay, here's another reason for my anger. When my cousin and her mother arrived at the general hospital, which was supposed to be a government facility that would take care of its residents' medical needs—they were turned away. Given that the mother of the frail child was carrying her on her back, weren't they supposed to help the mother call for an ambulance? or anything. Even the teaching hospital turned her down, claiming they were out of rooms. I don't really understand why we have to endure such hardships in a nation of which we are citizens; the predicament we find ourselves in disgusts me greatly.

People are starving, some are unable to leave for their places of employment, and some are simply here weeping and bemoaning the state of the country as it is. I am currently experiencing sadness, anger, and pain over the reality that there is nothing we can do to change that. It is very tragic that we are suffering as a result of the country's rampant corruption.

We should do our best to remain calm despite how difficult it may be in some places, as this will allow us to feel at ease and prevent us from being discouraged because the emotions we are experiencing won't stay forever; they will only last for a while. I am confident that everyone who is currently in a turmoil will emerge stronger and happier.

This current situation in the country has led to death of innocent citizens. But as you said, we need to remain calm in situations like this.

It is heartbreaking, to be honest. Funniest part is that the rich are less concerned.

This is our country and we hope for the best. I feel like it is going to get better, it is just a phase and we need to learn whatever is meant to be learnt in this phase.

The money issues will come down after election, it is clearly because of the election.

Our facility are low. That is why most people would rather private hospitals.

But we won’t just stay calm but we will work towards a better Nigeria

The situation of the country has really gotten out of hands and we can only hope that the Almighty God intervenes before we get to the point of no return in Nigeria. The country is heading towards doom and if a war should break out because of the foolish and selfish behavior from our leaders, I doubt if Nigeria will remain Nigeria.

There is more to the naira note and things are gradually working in favor of those who planned it and I pray that the Almighty God put them to shame with whatever they plan to do.

Things are so hard these days, starting from the naira notes which has turned the world upside down for us, making us buy our own money and it has even made things worse whereby those who are poor are starving more and being denied of our rights. It is so bad but we believe it´s the storm that will pass soon and we just need to have faith and keep going.

I can't even begin to imagine what people must be going through. The hardship of the country gets worse but we get stronger. All this will pass.

Unless God intervenes, I wonder if our situation came be salvage. Life has become a misery to many families. How are those with large families coping?. It us hard even for a single man or a couple. Let Alone those with families. Well, may God remain our stronghold

The desperation of Nigerians is becoming palpable. It's obvious that no one cares for us and it's so sad. I just hope this cup will pass over us one day.🌷
