MY EVERYDAY GOES LIKE THIS - CREATIVE NONFICTION PROMPT#17

As a mother and wife, there are certain routines I follow every day, especially on weekdays. When I wake up in the morning, I say a word of prayer, my personal prayer while still in bed, then I go into the kitchen to prepare what the kids will eat for breakfast and also the lunch they will take to school. Waking up early is not always an easy task, and sometimes I miss the time I am supposed to wake up. Probably because I am stressed and exhausted, like today, when I was supposed to get up at least 6am to prepare them for school, but I got up so late, and I still had to go to the store nerby to grab them noodles and eggs for their lunch later in the day, while they took bread and tea for breakfast.

For today, I had trouble getting my one-year-old daughter to cooperate, she was just all over the place, she didn't want me to dress her up, but my son wasn't a problem, he's almost five years old, so after I bathed him, he went to take out his singlets and boxer shorts, which he wore himself, after I finished putting on his sportwear for school, I gave him his breakfast, and after I sorted out my daughter , But she wasn't having it, so I let her eat her breakfast on her own, and then I remembered I was supposed to join a prayer programe online because I was interceding for my cousin's health, so I logged in on youtube and was following th pryer program, while also packing their lauch bag, and I also had to take care of my friends daughter because her mother had gone to work.

I proceeded to look over my daughter after making sure the kids' items were packed. I checked to see if she had any stains on her body, so I cleaned her mouth and carried her outside. We were prepared to leave, so I held her as she arrived at school. I also bought some snacks for them to consume during break or playtime. I gave them to the teacher who is typically at the school entrance after making sure they were ready to go.

I return home, bathe my friend's child, feed her, and put her to bed so that I can get other things done around the house. I then clean up the house and take a bath before either calling my sister to come pick her up or waiting until her mother returns home to take care of her.

I will be free to be by myself and use my phone when she is away or when her mother arrives. I'll probably be on Whatsapp replying to messages or on Hive scanning posts that I engaged in.
There is actually a lot that I do every day in my roles as a wife and a mother, including duties, taking care of everyone, which is not a simple task but doesn't hurt anyone, and in the afternoons, sleeping or simply going to my mother's house to rest.
After picking up the children from school at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, i do their laundry, wash their socks, give them dinner, and make them complete their assignments. Once everyone is in place, I sit and continue on my phone.

I aim to get to bed early every night, regardless of what I've done, so that when the morning comes, I can wake up with a fresh head.

Sounds as if you’ve got a lot to get through on any average day. Kids can be so precocious sometimes and despite how much we love them it can be very tiring. Thanks for sharing your daily routine with us.

Please be sure to engage with other writers’ in the community.

Yes there's a lot I do. It's also tiring sometimes, but I try my best to give all a balance and take my time to also rest.

Yes I will engage, I have just been so occupied this period. It's well
Thank you

@treasuree Being a mother is a very difficult task all over the world, whether she is a working woman or a homemaker, she has to struggle to bring up her children. Husbands of some lucky women also cooperate with them. God will soon end all your troubles.
