A Military Museum in the heart of Belgrade, Serbia
A Military Museum in the heart of Belgrade, Serbia
Hello dear travellers
Visiting Belgrade I couldn't help but omit the main sights that tourists visit, now we also know from my past posts from Belgrade that it has many places ready to explore, but wait until you see that I will still be posting other spectacular places here as well.
I started to like this country a lot, especially as it has a lot of history, and I am keen to discover as many details as possible about the past of some countries or places.
I came to the conclusion that this city is amazing by its size, by the people who live there, by its history but especially by the places it offers you to visit, so I came to discover the Belgrade Open Air Military Museum (Kalemegdan).
The museum is located on the banks of the river Sava, close to where it flows into the Danube, my goodness how beautiful this area is.
Let's take a walk and explore this place.
After parking the car in a public paid parking lot I took some small streets after which I followed an alley and came across a park with many flowers in fact I went through the middle of the park I followed some signs because here I found enough directions to all the sights in this area.
In future posts I will show you one more place to visit if you are in the area, but being very big I chose to share it with you in another post.
The museum is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, and access was made on the basis of a ticket that also included another place that I will talk about another time.
Honestly I don't really like violence and especially war, considering that I live quite close to the Ukrainian border where as everyone knows there has been a war going on for a few months, but in a museum I am curious to look.
Walking through the exhibits I saw military technology, military equipment, both World War I and World War II, but I can say that I spent about an hour and a half going through the history of the world.
If you are passionate about military technique here you will surely find a lot of information, each exhibit has a detailed description.
More informations about this places.
My dear travelers, followers and visitors of my post today, I hope you enjoyed this Military Museum, I thank you for stopping by, thank you to all of you who support me, and until the next post which I don't know where and when it will be, I say goodbye.
