I've become a nostalgic old man

I was obsessed with "The Sound of Music". I always looked at it with nostalgia and never got bored.

Hello friends,

You really don't have to regret some things.

Considering time and space it is nothing out of the ordinary or strange that we age and that the passage of time leaves its mark on us, this does not bypass any of us, indeed age is just a number.
Today I want to respond to the weekend-engagement launched by @galenkp:
Future nostalgia

We all have things from the past we are nostalgic about...But what things from 2022 do you think people might be nostalgic over in 50 years from now? You can answer generally or what you think you may feel nostalgic over personally...Explain your answer.

Considering I'm 37 now, it's not very hard for me to teleport back 50 years and see the nostalgia of past memories.

Good evening to all of you, says an old man of 87 years old, you must know that even at this age I feel 40 years old, I am in good shape, but my legs don't help me as much as they used to.

Chatting with other friends about the same age in a park, playing chess on a concrete table, I became a little nostalgic for the old days.

And the people I was playing chess with in the park kept telling me that they did a lot of stuff in their time and now they feel useless.

If we are still nostalgic for the old days, I took the bull by the horns and started remembering how I was and what I was doing 50 years ago.

Dear old man, when I was young (37) I used to travel all over the world, I loved to explore any place in the world that seemed to have something to offer.
Not for nothing, by the age of 37 I had visited over 22 countries.

I used to love hiking in the forests of Romania or in the forests of the countries we visited, I got to see many amazing historical monuments, maybe even unique in the world, of a rare beauty.

I remember with nostalgia the Golubat fortress in Serbia, the* Rasnov fortress in Brasov-Romania*, the Syrian fortress in Arad-Romania, the Ram fortress in Serbia, the Bran castle in Brasov-Romania (also known as the castle of Dracula the vampire), about all of them I tell the one next to me, how I walked many kilometers, how I climbed mountains or hills to reach them, it took me a while to tell something about how those moments were, I can even say that it took me more than two hours but I admit that it made me a great pleasure and delight to remember how young I was and how fit I was.

We have to be aware and realistic that we are no longer in our early youth when we used to drive a thousand miles a day or hike a few miles a day, this nostalgia thing is imminent once you start to get sore feet, sore hands, the first grey hairs start to appear, your memory is no longer helping you, some of the clear signs that time is passing you by.

The main problem is not really old age but the fact that in 50 years these wonderful places I was telling you about have started to disappear because of the increasing development of technology and we remain only nostalgic for those times.

Forests have been cleared heavily so that wood can be processed to produce as much furniture, paper, etc. as possible and other by-products, the course of life took an unexpected turn that could not be changed and we were left with only the nostalgia of visiting amazing places.

Dear old man until the next weekend engagement launched by @galenkp thank you for taking the time to read my post today, thank you for your support, one more thing if I thanked you more than once know that due to age(😊) my memory still fails me.

Yours @triplug!

It worries me there will be no wild places... Unless there is an apocalypse and we stop pillaging the earth for a bit. I hope. Gawd, in 50 years time I'm going to be either dead or 101. Ouch.

Unfortunately we cannot know what will happen in the future, only One knows this.
I wish you many more healthy years from now on.
Now I am very nostalgic knowing that last years I had the opportunity to meet and talk with a war veteran, at that time he was 97 years old, the man was an encyclopaedia, unfortunately he passed away in the meantime at the age of 98.
