Let's explore the charm of Brussels, the capital of Belgium, on foot.
Let's explore the charm of Brussels, the capital of Belgium, on foot.
Hello travellers from all over the world
Let me begin by wishing all those celebrating Easter today a Happy Easter.
Have you heard of the headquarters of the European Union?
If you haven't heard before, let me introduce you to Brussels, the capital of Belgium, a vibrant city with stunning architecture visited by tourists from all over the world.
We flew to Brussels and travelled here by public transport.
From the hotel where we were staying we took the metro to the central train station, and from there we walked and made our first stop at a restaurant on an alley, I really needed a dose of energy.
With fresh strength we walk to the most important tourist spot here, namely the Grand Place (Grote Markt), the city is not that big and if you manage to organize your sightseeing here you can visit them on foot (if you are in good physical shape).
Grand Place
A spacious place, surrounded by buildings of stunning architecture, here we can also see the imposing building of the town hall, but also thousands of tourists who seem to have met here.
We leave behind the Grand Palace and we go to another place (from the reviews on the internet I saw that it is very visited) I say a little strange, it's about "Manneken-Pis", after a short walk on the small streets at a time I met a lot of people (honestly I did not know what is here groups of tourists, people with flags in hand, tourists), at first I had no idea what they do here.
Looking on google to see if I have reached the location of this ,, Manneken-Pis, I see that the google shows me that I am already there, so I realized that I have to get past that noisy crowd to see what is beyond it.
Manneken-Pis
That's how I discovered a little boy peeing in a fountain, I honestly didn't know how to react, should I be glad I was there or should I be disappointed that I trampled on dozens of tourists for a picture of a little boy peeing in a fountain.
Everywhere I looked there was something to see and photograph so I came across a building with lots of colourful bikes attached, not far from that little boy peeing in a fountain, I came across a place where you could enjoy a Belgian beer, Poechenellekelder.

If you want to know more about the sights of Brussels, you can find them here.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to stop here for a Belgian beer so we continued our exploration of the city arriving at St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral, although I have seen enough cathedrals in my life this one managed to amaze me.
St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral
Visiting it is free of charge and the visiting hours were between 8-16 hours, the schedule may change depending on public holidays (if you want to stop by, please check the schedule on the official website).
Hey guys we are in Belgium, the country of chocolatiers, here we are and we made a stop at a very famous shop, Pierre Marcolini (I hope I didn't give you a chocolate craving).
With slow steps (due to tiredness) we were heading to the last point we had on our list today, the park in Brussels, an interesting and very lively place, and here we met an alley with many strange statues on both sides.

My dear visitors this is the end of our day in Brussels, I hope the pictures attached here have convinced you to visit this beautiful city.
